Lovely dinner at Shimai, not been in for over a year as we moved out of London, but the hostess remembered us! Great customer service, great food, great value (sushi buffet) can't recommend highly enough.. Will be back again, hopefully much sooner! Keep up the great work.

My go-to sushi place in London!It can get quite busy during dinner periods especially on the weekends so worth calling and booking (though I see both waitresses going back and forth in the restaurant so they might not pick up on first ring)I’ve been to Sushi Shimai with friends and alone.If you’re hesitant, their A La Carte menu is 50% off for lunch so definitely worth trying out their food over lunch!Note that some of their pervious ads on social media have their old pricing. Yet for the quality of their rolls, the miso aubergine, and their deep fried oysters - the all you can eat buffet is worth for the variety!First three photos are from lunch and the last is from the buffet!

This is the best sushi place that I've eaten at. Everything is just so fresh and so good. They do buffet which I always go for as it has everything that I enjoy on it and would usually go for a round 2 then I'm stuffed for the whole day. Has a big variety of selection or if you want something a bit more fancy you could always go for their normal menu.

I was surprised by the good quality of the sushi (despite being all-you-can-eat). The stuff was lovely. It’s BYOB with a £8 corkage fee (we brought 4 bottles). I’d definitely recommend and go back again.

I came here with a friend, who already had been here and recommended I should come too. So, I had lots of expectations and nothing let me down! I loved all the dishes we ordered, well except for the oyster tempura (because I don't like oysters). I especially loved the seaweed salad and sushi. Drink is included with the buffet. We ordered green tea which was refilled continuously (we didn't even have to tell them most of the time!). We were also offered dessert on the house (we were the only two left by the end at the shop). We had raspberry ice cream, a perfect show stopper! Highly recommend this place and I would love to visit again. Reservation is advised.

Very small/cosy restaurant with lower ground seatings available as wellBring your own drinks/booze, prebooking is advised due to capacitySushi and sashimi are fresh, cook to order which is nice and freshThe staff were good and friendly,However, you can only order 6 items every 15 minutes and the food takes a while to come and they don't give back your order sheet till you ask for it again...feels like they delibrilately trying to slow down your orders...Overall the food are fresh and delicious but expect delays. The price for the buffet is on point. Would recommend if you're craving sushi

Yesterday, I brought my friends here for a meal. The fish here are very fresh, the food is delicious, and the service is very good. We are very warm. My friends have a very high evaluation of this place, and I will come here again for the next dinner
