The beer garden lacks quite a bit . Just wooden picnic tables surrounded by a tall wooden fence. BORING!The cheeseburger was quite nice and juicy but could only have red onions if I ordered Halloumi cheese.

Overall, a solid Sunday Dinner offering a good selection of sizes, meats, veg, and a decent gravy that can always make or break even the best Sunday dinner. The one stand out for me was the mash potato, It was creamy and very tasty. Went for Sunday lunch. Choices were Beef, Chicken, Lamb or Pork with a selection of vegetables. Good service. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely meal. Reasonable prices.Booking is advisable as busy.Car park is available with wheelchair access to car park, the entrance, seating and toilets.I will visit again.Thank you.

Delicious food at affordable prices. Large selection of drinks and bar snacks. Staff are friendly. Would recommend booking on a Wednesday as they offer mid-week roasts and it gets very busy!

All food was piping hot and came out altogether. There was 9 of us, so quite a large group, but all food was served together. I haven't commented on the rooms as I have never stayed there. I only live up the road.

Sunday lunch was shocking.Everyone except me got their food pretty quick. My two boys had cheese burger and chips but the chips weren't nice. I asked for mint sauce about 4 times for my mother and everyone's dinner was missing stuffing and Yorkshires. Eventually got my food but still missing stuffing and Yorkshires and the staff didn't know what to do.Not a good experience and WILL NOT RETURN.

Well where do i start, Firstly ive been coming to the Wingfield for many years regular for Sunday dinner, It was fantastic, The best around for quality and price, We went there this Sunday the dinners were different skimpy, Not in the stainless steel split dishes but on plates, The gravy was different and when i heard someone ask about it, The answer was its vegetarian gravy (yuck) The beef was tough where it was so tender you had a job to pick it up (Great for pensioners) , Its not like we were used to and I dont think we will be going back, Its sad its gone from the best sunday dinner in Caerphilly to a run of the mill sunday dinner, ive since learnt the regular chef who has been there years has left, So please Wingfield get him back before you lose It all, as a lot of Sunday diners also ate throughout the week as we did, IF ANYONE KNOWS WHERE THE CHEF IS COOKING NOW PLEASE GET IN TOUCH, PS The service was still good
