Clayton Hotel Manchester City Centre

Fab hotel. Really impressed with my stay here. Super comfy beds, well appointed rooms and fab staff. Breakfast was really good, lots of options. Would definitely return.

I cannot fault this lovely Hotel. Customer service is incredible and to be applauded. A wonderful warm welcome after a very troublesome journey.Room on the 17th floor was first class and so clean and comfortable.Food in the Hotel was excellent.Thank you, will definitely return.

Excellent location - right next to the gay village.Connor waiting at the restaurant was incredibly friendly and was honestly the best host I may have ever met, he ensured our weekend was extra special. His service was exceptional.The restaurant food was pretty good too, especially the desserts.The room was very good, however there were a few problems. The toilet seat came off, which they repaired. A cupboard came off its hinge which they took away. The air con was on and at the lowest temperature, but we never felt it work at all so it was boiling us being on the top floor, and as a last resort had to leave the window open. The kettle was also leaking after leaving some water in it, luckily nothing was damaged, and they didn't come round to replace it after we requested.Would visit again and would recommend.

We loved this hotel. Service from Bas, Vlad, Andrei especially great and the front house reception was very helpful. Beds very comfortable, rooms are clean and location is great. Breakfast could be further improved but nothing to fret about. We are happy we made the right choice to come here.

We attended clayton hotel to check in. We received our keys and went to the room. Opened the door and there was a gentleman on the bed already. We went back to reception to be told that someone with the same name had checked in on the wrong day into our room. They said they would look into it however we had a tight turn around where we needed to be at a surprise birthday party within the hour(originally we were going to quickly drop off our bags, get ready and go) however due to the mix up we were unable to do that and had to leave to return to the matter later.We arrived back and the reception said that the original person that checked in our room had now gone and we could go to the room however i now had safety concerns on how we were able to get into a room that someone was already checked into and how that was not on the system.I asked to speak to the manager that apologized and upgraded our room and gave us 4 free cocktails and offered us a meal however we were going out for a friends birthday.We then went to check out the next day and the 4 'free' cocktails had been charged to our room. However this was then rectified.The staff did try and rectify parts of this issue for us however you are paying a higher price for these rooms and expect the security and check in process to be robust. It left me feeling frustrated, concerned about safety and a bit annoyed we were then tried to be charged for cocktails they gave us to rectify. Also, the fact someone with the exact same name booked on a different day but decided to come a day early onto our booking seemed a bit suspicious.

2nd time staying, great location. Rooms are a nice size and beds comfy. Parked at Q Park Picadilly about a 5-6 min walk away so very convenient. Perfect spot for visiting local Xmas markets. Only negative was the Roasters coffee shop. £4.00 for a very small cappuccino which was very bitter. Will stick to the independent coffee houses next time. Overall an enjoyable experience.

Really nice, clean hotel, friendly staff.I didn't stay at the hotel, just attended a meeting and was suitability impressed.Right next door to the Polish Embassy on Portland Street, free Manchester inner city bus service to and from Piccadilly train station on the doorstep ( route 1) route 2 a few hundred metres away on Charlotte Street,) lots of Parking behind hotel, on street and car parks at a cost.....no free parking here folks. Lots of places to eat & drilnk including a Yates 50m away. Great location for transport links, food and drink.

I visited the hotel for afternoon tea. The food and tea were delicious and light. The services are excellent and the staff was very polite, welcoming and friendly. My uncle also stayed in the hotel and thanked the clean rooms and the wonderful room services.

Brilliant hotel easy for main shopping area's and for China Town for food. But also great for visiting the Christmas Market. Would certainly recommend hotel, there is a bar and resturant available but didn't use it.

Great hotel in the heart of the city. Handy for access to the full spectrum of everything that Manchester has to offer.Rooms are modern, fitted to a good standard. Good space, premium feel. Clean and well serviced.Staff are attentive and helpful. Great service. Would stay again.
