Training Academy @ Dogtastic Ltd

We've used Dogtastic training academy twice now firstly for puppy training then just recently for firework desensitisation training both have been really helpful and we can't rate them enough, staff are lovely and very knowledgeable.

10/10 cannot recommend the Training Academy enough.The puppy training classes are fantastic, small classes so the dogs are not overwhelmed and get to know a small group of dogs at a time. The trainers Adele and Emily are great at teaching the dog parents all the different skills needed, and I am pretty sure they are dog whisperers too (I have 2 very stubborn dogs). Focus is on practical life-saving training with a few tricks sprinkled in for fun.Our older dog was unable to go through in person training as we got him during the pandemic so we have had 1-2-1 training for issues like resource guarding, barking and stealing food. Working with Adele has helped building confidence in us as dog owners and trust with our dogs through positive reinforcement training that has changed our lives.

Took our puppy for training she is a happy content well behaved dog after all the training and tips we can’t thank Adele and the team enough for all they do she now attends dogtastic day care to play with all her friends highly recommended thank you all for all your hard work and taking such amazing care of our furbaby

I had a 1-2-1 session with Adele for my Labrador. She suffers a bit with separation anxiety and was becoming increasingly over excited. Adele showed us methods how to calm her before the excitement got out of control, as well as how to recognise it before it starts. She's still a crazy Labrador, but with practice, she is getting much better.

Adele has been amazing. We have had Adele address different issues that other trainers could not resolve. She was able to get our Finn in a calm state in as little as 10 mins of meeting him for the first time, achieving what other trainers could not do in 7 weeks! She Haa given us training and advice that actually works and does not involve throwing endless treats at Finn. Finn is a calmer dog than he use to be and no longer spends fireworks or diwali shaking uncontrollably indoors. I am not sure what we would have done if we had not discovered Adele, but I do know our life with Finn is a lot easier and less stressful. It's also comforting to know that we have Adele to go to for any other issues that may need to be addressed.

We had a 1-2-1 session with Adele with our 2 year old Labrador who had developed some behavioral issues after a bad experience with another dog. After previously being happy to be left on his own at night or when we needed to leave him home alone, he would now panic and not be able to listen to any commands. Adele came to our house to see problems in his own environment, then worked with us to develop a plan. She took us through all the training and tactics ensuring we were doing everything correct and made sure we were confident with all the exercises. The behavioral issues improved quickly on this plan, we are still using a lot of the exercises given to continue his training but bedtime or leaving the house are no longer a battle!

Following a bad experience of his first year of fireworks we found out about and took our 20 month old dog to Firework desensitisation classes with Adele and her assistant Hope. Our dog showed signs of nervousness at the first class he attended. However following guidance and training at the classes we were able to put this into our daily routines and by the final class we had a much more confident dog who was able to deal with fireworks much better. Thanks to Adele we now how the tools to desensitise our dog and cannot thank her enough.

We attended the 12 week puppy training academy earlier this year and it was excellent.Very comprehensive, fun and having the support from the trainer's both during the class and outside it via a WhatsApp group was incredibly useful.We particularly liked/found beneficial that each class started with a mini socialisation 'playtime' with the other puppies so they can learn how to play nicely/manners and as owners we can spot and know what to do if things go too far.I could say lots more but to sum up, it's clear the trainers are very knowledgeable and clearly care so much about the puppies/dogs and doing what's right for them and you.Can't recommend enough, thank you :)

We recently got a puppy and over always had dogs and knew how important puppy classes are and I was not disappointed. The guys at dogtastic are brilliant, addressing any concerns any of the owners had.Our dog has become very socialble with other dogs and other people, the puppy will follow commands wellI would highly recommend dogtastic to anyone looking for puppy lessons or general dog training
