I have been coming to Orku for a few months now and Kyla has been fantastic! I have just started training following a serious neck injury and whilst my neck will never be back to normal, Kyla has helped stop my migraines and training is no longer painful for my neck. I (Noelyn) went to see Anwen with a long standing elbow problem. I had had this problem for 2 1/2 years, prior to seeing Anwen, and had seen a physio for many months and also a chiropractor for a number of months but with no improvement.Some months following my initial appointment with Anwen, the change in the functionality of my elbow is staggering - I have gone from being unable to manage the twisting action of opening/closing a door with my right arm to being able to do full press ups and lift 5kg weights. I also had a long standing shoulder problem, which I had got so used to that I ignored it, and Anwen included this as part of the treatment and, again, the improvement in the functionality of my right shoulder is amazing. Anwen has a lovely, patient manner and is always happy for you to contact her in between sessions to answer any questions you have re the exercises etc.On my recommendation, my husband (Tony) also saw Anwen about a knee problem. In addition to the minor arthritis which we knew was there and clearly couldn't be cured without an op, Anwen diagnosed Patella tendonitis and suggested wearing insoles in his shoes to adjust the pressure on this tendon. This has improved Tony's knee pain considerably. Most days his knee is pain free and he now only gets pain after extensive walking, when the arthritis kicks in. On the rare occasion he forgets to wear the insole, the pain comes back. This was a simple solution to a problem that hadn't been picked up by the two orthopedic consultants he had previously seen (who had simply said that the arthritis was not bad enough to justify an op at the moment). Also, during this period, Tony has seen Harvey for sports massage for niggling neck pain. Again, this has been very effective and Tony's neck is currently pain free. So thanks to Anwen and Harvey of ORKU we can continue leading the active lives we love.

I first went to see Anwen recommended by a friend, after being in a lot of pain in my upper back/shoulder for a year, which was limiting my daily activities. Anwen made a care plan for me. In the beginning, I saw her once a week for several weeks. She send me exercises to strengthen my back muscles, and she always checked I was doing them properly. I see her once a month now, and, I have to say that Anwen has changed my life. I thought I was always going to be in pain. I got my life back. Thank you so much Anwen for all your hard work!

What a fabulous experience I get from ORKU. My chiropractor was Anwen, and quite frankly there should be more stars for me to give her. Not only does she have magical hands, the wealth of knowledge in her field is outstanding. I’ve had lower back issues for a while.
