Waitrose & Partners Monmouth

What happened to my favourite Waitrose??Lots of new self-checkouts (getting rid of staff?), I cannot buy my favourite wine (need to go to Abergavenny) because the management decided to stock plenty of cans with ready mixed cocktails instead. Cannot fault the lovely people who work there but recent changes haven’t made me happy. Please go back to your old ways, Waitrose is not Coop (I mean it is, but you know what I mean)

A lovely waitrose helpful staff. Would prefer better choice of child friendly snacks from sandwich area.

I visited this store twice during my trip to Monmouth & I really liked this one !! The front entrance was a bit walk to get to ,meaning it wasn't facing the street .About 15 seconds to get around to .It was right across from the Monmouth bis stop ! Very easy to spot it !! It's got a bathroom at the front right before you go in the store on the left hand side & they had 3 ,or 4 stolls & clean ! One of sinks was out of order. Waitrose is definitely the best supermarket to buy organic produces !! I bought a pack of organic blueberries at £ 2.50& raspberry at £ 2.75 there which were delicious / fresh ,no mold at all which is hard to find ! I ate 'em in two days !! So~ good !! I also had my cream tea at their Cafe inside ( £3.75 total.£2.10 for a pot of tea & 1 scone w/ butter & jam for £1.65 )which was good & reasonably priced ! But a bit harder than real good fresh, soft scones !! The ladies working there were very friendly !! A very clean cafe !! I saw an elderly couple who tried to give one of 'em a tip which she very kindly / politely declined .It was very sweet to witness !! I also bought several shopping bags of Waitrose !! For souvenirs ! One was only 50 p ea !! ,in mid green ,very nicely designed & prints on the one is classy !! Great one to pick as a souvenir as it's ultra light & won't take spaces to pack !! My mom & sis loved it !! Also got a 1 mid size bag w/ insulation inside ,again very nice prints ( green stripes ) ,it was only £ 3.50 ,or less !! As well as 1 large organic cotton bag for £6 !! All are great souvenirs !!

Nice little camp site on the edge of the town centre, very tight entrance, shame about all the extras you have to pay,being of limited disabilities I have a blue badge so tow a small car on back of motorhome so I can get about they charged me £3 extra per night for the car it's a shame lovely site but wont be back again

It's a supermarket doing supermarket things, well done to the supermarket people.

It's true this Waitrose is smaller than the Abergavenny store but the day I visited I was pleasantly surprised to find more fresh fruit and veg here.It lost a star because it didn't meet the usual high standards of cleanliness eg there were partners tidying shelves near some saturated cardboard on the floor seemingly unaware and no hazard signs.There is a large carpark and the first hour is free but you must get a ticket to park when you arrive. I suppose it is camera controlled. There are options to pay to stay longer and £1 for an extra hour seems reasonable as it's very handy for the main shopping street in Monmouth.

Not good, main door not working have to walk all the way around to the back and back to the main street again need to sort it out ASAP, old people don't want to walk that far.

A very nice little shop parking is adjacent in a public car park with good views of the river.I personally found the staff friendly and helpful I would go back
