Central Studios - Student Accommodation in Reading

At the heart of the town, this place has been my home. The staffs are very friendly and responsive. I’ll miss this place.

I’ve stayed at central studios for three years during my studies in the UK, and I must say it is the perfect accommodation to stay at for any student coming to study in reading.Location-wise, it’s right at the heart of reading’s town center meaning that all the important places are less than a 10 minute walk away, which include the bus stop to the university, the gym, many restaurants, clubs and bars and most importantly, Sainsbury’s. As a student you’ll be doing grocery shopping quite often and I can’t stress enough how convenient it was to have a huge grocery store right next door to the accommodation rather than having to walk long distances carrying heavy grocery bags.From a social aspect, central studios is by far the best accommodation to stay at. The accommodation team of jas, Jessie and handyman Simon are some of the nicest people I’ve met during my stay in reading. Both Jas and jessie really go out of their way to make central studios welcoming for students, as they’ve set up pizza nights, board game nights and several other activities in the accommodation’s social space. Having Simon on sight at the accommodation was also quite great, throughout my stay at central studios he's helped me fix and assemble many things, which included quite a complex gaming chair. Additionally, central studios has quite a culturally diverse group of students, during my stay I’ve met people from all different backgrounds and some I consider now friend’s for life.In terms of accommodation quality, central studios is excellent. The rooms at central studios all come equipped with many of the necessary things you’ll need as a student, which was quite helpful. The rooms are cozy and warm, which is perfect for the winter. The facilities at the accommodation which include a social space for students and a washing machine room are great and always available. And now that central studios is being renovated, I’m certain all these things listed will become even better!Overall, I highly recommend this accommodation to any student coming to reading, as central studios is the most welcoming place a student can be throughout their stay in reading.

Lovely student accommodation to stay with perfect location to go to restaurants, supermarkets, bars, train station... The whole team’s friendly and helpful! They also regularly arrange activities and provide free treats to us. The hygiene is great especially in the Covid-19 situation. Great time in there.

Reading's worst student accommodation. Poor lift design, two lifts, one of which cannot reach more than five floors. Can you imagine that only two washing machines can be used by the whole building? There is a lot of noise every day, and before moving in, CRM informed you that construction is only from 9am to 4:30pm Mon-Fri, ending in spring. But the fact is that construction starts at 8 am Mon-Sat and is still working now if June is spring. My suggestion is that if you want to suffer from neurological disorders and experience what it feels like to live on a construction site, CRM is definitely the best choice.

10/10. I stayed with Central Studios for 3 years and the service throughout was on point. Everything was communicated effectively leaving residents always informed and up to date on anything needed to make their time at Central Studios Reading smooth. Management and workers provided the best services at all time and I highly recommend if looking for a place to stay.

Stayed in Central Studios during my postgraduate and it was the one of best decisions I made! First of all, the location of the accommodation is so convenient with Sainsbury's next door and 5 mins walk to the station as well as the university bus stop . Also, there are lots of restaurants and shops around the area which are within walking distance. The room itself is fully equipped with plenty space. It has a bathroom and kitchen with a microwave, freezer and fridge included.But the best of all is that the staff there are absolutely lovely, especially with Jessica and Jas!. They have been super helpful and accommodating!! For example, when you email them about any issue in your room they are so responsive and try their best to solve it as quick as possible.I was aware of the construction situation before moving in so it wasn't really a problem for me. Although for those who are sensitive towards noises and light sleepers, I understand this can be a big issue as the construction work is quite loud and disturbing and they usually work 6 days a week.But during my stay, Jessi and Jas always made sure all residents in the building were taken care of, so my overall experience with Central Studios was fantastic!

I stayed with central studios last year and the experience was great! There are activities throughout the year- e.g., pizza night, which is great to meet new people. The Maintenance team (Simon) is very helpful and efficient whenever I have something to fix! There is 24/7 security and fire drill from time to time it makes me feel safe staying in the accommodation :) Jas and Cheryl are very friendly and helpful. Towards the end of the tenancy there were some construction and Jas tried her very best to help. They ordered a refractive window sticker for me which provided privacy :) I wish I could stay longer but I am no longer a student unfortunately. Really enjoyed my time there!

I felt like this was my second home. The room was really nice and spacious and it had a modern style. Staff are always there for you when you need them. Lots of events are made for the residents such as: welcome party, pizza night, valentines day. Free pool table and board games in the common room.

Had a great year at CRM studios Reading. The accommodation is really well located and easy to get to around. Staff were always friendly and easy going. Would highly recommend!
