Was good initially, however, the management of the club have completely over sold the number of memberships. Majority of times the club is packed, you’re unable to get a parking space let along use the facilities. This is all despite assurances they would keep membership low to ensure it wasn’t too busy. Not worth spending £150+ per person per month if you can’t use the facilities.

I never thought I'd do it. I saw the ads and baulked at the price in the spring, but after a friend brought me along to the Shawfair David Lloyd, I knew it was the right gym for me.A great gym with loads of equipment, 2 pools, tennis and racquet sports, loads of classes over 4 studios, and then there's the spa. It rivals a certain spa in the Borders that I love to go to once a year. Add to that that kids memberships are relatively cheap. I joined in September, and I'm loving it. The staff are great, too.

Brilliant but very overcrowded - have been going since it opened and it is a great gym with amazing classes, but difficult to get into classes and it is far too overcrowded in the evening and weekends. I know this is nothing new for gyms but it’s very expensive and the fact I have an alarm set at 7pm to book a class is why I have marked it down. That being said, if you can deal with the masses (and a lot of children running around), the staff are really nice, the facilities are really good and it’s definitely the best gym I’ve been too in Edinburgh.

Really enjoying my first week at the beautiful new club! Day one just involved a look around and grabbing some lunch. I had my first proper workout today at a Bodypump class which was great, then straight to the spa after for some relaxation time!My son is loving the soft play and I am looking forward to taking him to a toddler football class tomorrow morning. Overall really impressed and can't wait to make lots of family memories here.

This place is absolutely fantastic. As a newbie to the world of gyms, this has kept me coming back. There is such a joy in sitting in an outdoor hottub at 7am after a workout session. The facilities are amazing. The classes have been outstanding too. Wow - just wow.

Worst Experience. Edinburgh leisure is alot better then this. Indoor football and badminton court never cleaned, no tissue rolls no basket for trash. I feel not going long with them

Met a number of months ago with Ross from the sales team, who was very professional and all around great to deal with. We signed up then and there.The club itself, having only been open a week, has been amazing so far. Every member of staff has been helpful when asked a question, and the facilities themselves are flawless. Shoutout to Charlie the tennis coach for a fun socials last week as well!Spa area is a bit busy at the moment with all of the new members getting in and seeing the club, which is 100% to be expected as it’s brand new. The spa itself has everything and more. Do yourself a favour and book a free tour!

Guests beware - you can't access the carpark without a code. Parking spaces don't seem to reflect the demand, with lots of people abandoning vehicles elsewhere on the estate.Staff have meetings in public areas which I think is really weird.Facilities are great but the changing room/locker area is cramped and kids mix with adults. Far from ideal for the money.

A friend offered me a guest pass to go for a swim there. It felt like being on holiday despite not having left the city. Multiple sauna, steam rooms, jacuzzis, and pools. Most importantly the showers don't have any kind of timers on them, you can have a proper shower there, and the vanity areas have GHD hairdryers and straighteners in them. It's a shame that it costs so much as I could never afford to be a member of such a place.If someone ever offers to use a guest pass for you take them up on it as it is well worth it!!
