Nice pub in the middle of Exeter. Stopped for a late lunch on a Wednesday afternoon.Sat upstairs and ordered via the app, had lovely butternut squash soup, and some chips. And my pal had some nachos, all great, nice and hot and served quickly.Nice looking older style pub. Worth a visit.

A great pub with heaps of history. We had the 1/2 chicken Sunday roast which was a good size serving with lots of vegetables. If you are a big eater would definitely recommend. The service was prompt and the waitress came half way through our meal to ask if everything was okay.Happy Customer.

This is my fave pub of all time, and the person who made me feel this way was Aria.I could sense her aura from outside the pub and it drew me in. Her customer service was 10:10. She was friendly, lovely and I’d even say the nicest person I’ve ever met.I love this pub and I love aria

Lovely pub in the center of Exeter near St. Peter.Sir Francis Drake used to take a pint or two there. We ordered via the Greene King App (first timer), and everything went better, than expected: fast response, good food. I had the salad with chicken, which was to my surprise a bit spicy. Not what I was expecting, but something I really liked! The Butternut soup was too mild, in my opinion. Nothing some pepper can't change.Overall: the service was excellent and the food was delightful. Two thumbs up!

Staff were very friendly. Good service. Lovely atmosphere, but l felt that the standard of food had plummeted since my last visit in 2022. The usually sumptuous chicken wings were small and were mainly gristle and small broken bones. Grossly overpriced. Cheap and nasty. The garlic bread just tasted like rancid butter. I could not taste any garlic at all. Certainly not value for money. Table was sticky all over.l had to keep my arms off the table. Horrible. Very disappointed. Won't return or recommend.

Enter through a narrow alleyway into an old oak-beamed pub serving traditional fare and nice ales.A lot of history in here - but the refurbishment hasn't done a great job of accentuating it.The food was decent - Korean chicken burger and the onion rings were crispy.Nice place to enjoy a pint but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here .

The food was beautiful and the drinks were poured very nicely, lively Guinness I must say. The young lady who made my experience was called aria and helped guide me through the menu for all my allergies.Would recommend 10/10
