I am very surprised and disappointed with the level of service I faced with…I had a problem with washing machine and my letting agent asked this company to fix it, while I advised my letting agent about the possible issue regarding the worn cable. However, the member of the George Fry made a conclusion that my washing machine cannot be fixed and needs to be replaced.When I asked about which particular parts of the washing machine are broken - I never received a proper response. I was advised by George Fry to replace my 4 year old washing machine by a new one for £550-600!!! I was very surprised and tried to find alternative engineer to check.Meanwhile, the letting agent asked George Fry to come back and fix the dishwasher machine and double check the issue with the washing machine (since I also called them directly and had to spend my time and nerves on trying to find out what exactly happened with the machine and which details needs to be replaced as I haven’t received any proper confirmation/documents of the check).What surprised me more - the way they checked the washing machine - tried to plug in in the socket and in the other socket to check if it works or no. Ta-da! It was not working (obviously since I advised before that the cable might be worn), so that’s how they concluded it’s broken and cannot be fixed anymore. Only replaced with them charging me of removing it, installing a new one and utilizing.When they came back, I suppose another member of staff checked the washing machine and fixed it properly- the cable was worn as I advised at the very beginning.Afterwards I was charged a full price for work without any compensation (I had to spend my working time to cal them a couple of times and figure it out). I am very disappointed with this level of service. They made a mistake that might have led me to spend ~£600 instead of the price of changing the cable. Imagine if it was not me, but someone naive who would believe that and spend £600? What would they do with the working machine then?I feel that they tried to fool me! Charge money for the removal and “utilization”, replacing that cheap cable and reselling a 4year old machine to someone. Business! Please note that it’s just my suggestion after this situation, obviously I don’t know what would they do…. But isn’t that shocking?No idea whether that was an unusual mistake, new and unprofessional member of staff, anything else…. But horrible customer service as I had to chase them and try to figure out about that situation. And they did not even try to compensate the problems and nerves they caused me… I do not trust this company anymore.Do not recommend at all!Not reliable.

I was blown away by the brilliant customer service from this company. From the first phone call to the final delivery the men went out of their way to get the job done. The young men who delivered, and installed my integrated fridge/freezer were polite, helpful and so positive. They installed, removed and took away the old fridge/freezer and cleared up any remnants. I was served by Adrian who couldn't have been more helpful! He spent as much time as I needed to fully understand new technology and seemed to be focussed upon what was best for me. He quickly understood my needs and adjusted his advice where necessary. Truly good, old fashioned CUSTOMER SERVICE. Delighted with my purchase too!

Went into George Fry as Mum needed a new vacuum. The 2 guys in the shop were fantastic & gave some great advice & demonstrations.We always use George Fry as the service is second to none, plus if we ever have a problem we call & the team come out to fix.Wouldn't buy my electrical goods anywhere else

I have so far had a good experience with this company except for this afternoon. I had called earlier in the morning to confirm that they had done what they said they would do with my washing machine - informing the letting agents, because the last time I spoke with them they hadn't. They said they'd call me back to let me know what's happening. They never did! I called them back again and the man I spoke with was rude to me. I just needed to confirm that they'd informed the letting agent but he was just so abrupt with me and ended up cutting the call on me mid-sentence. I was actually having a good experience with them so far but for the unnecessary rudeness I give two stars. It cost nothing to be polite and to explain things to a paying customer. Its not like the service you offer is free of charge or you're doing the customer a favour. I hope I never have to deal with you guys personally, its too bad that the letting agents use your services. I would not recommend!

Unbelievably brilliant service. So easy to buy a dishwasher and fridge/freezer from them. There was nothing to fault, they were courteous, friendly, and provided great equipment. The two guys who came to fit the units made the whole thing easy. I would definitely use this company again for anything I need.

Highly recommend this Company! I phoned them about a week before Christmas and they were happy to replace my integrated dishwasher with a free standing model before Christmas! Excellent fitters and everything was done very professionally. First class customer service!

Have used this excellent company on numerous occasions. Their service is second to none, they will always go the extra mile to be as helpful as possible. Today I had a fridge freezer removed and replaced. The work was carried out very quickly and efficiently with no mess and I would not hesitate to give George Fry the highest recommendation
