Nissan Motor Manufacturing UK Ltd

I was there from 1995-2005. Unfortunately a dreadful place to work if your stuck working on the manufacturing line. Not allowed to go to the toilet because no one to do your job, team leaders would come turn off your help lamp, and walk off, leaving you an hour into the session bursting for the toilet, with at least an other hour to go, bending or climbing into the car, seemingly going to the toilet is a PRIVILEGE and not a necessity. Dont dare to ever get sick!!!, after being questioned over the phone by your supervisor, then him telling you that you must come to work to see the nurse/doctor, to see if they think you really are ill. You get there, just to be told by the nurse to go home....BECAUSE YOUR ILL. I started having what was known amongst the people I worked with....the Nissan nightmare...when I went to sleep, I would dream I was down the line and couldnt get back up to my position. When I mentioned it at work they all just laughed...everyone had the same nightmare, I STILL GET IT, I wake sometimes and I am thankful its only a dream now. HORRIBLE!!!!

I am using new qashqai premium 4*4 in Turkey. It's only been 3 months. multimedia display is broken. but there are no spare parts in Turkey. It will arrive from England in 30 days. Unbelievable. Vehicle without spare parts is sold. I wonder what Nissan UK and Nissan Japan think about this.

Very friendly environment and there is no work life balance in organisation

So this is the worse place to work, reviewed by their own employees.. What makes you think Nissan is good car than. This place is same as their car is, nothing but junk.

Hi sir/madam I got and email from your company stating that I am the winner of some amount and car .. in which my email has been selected during the lucky draw .. so is it true that your company had organised lucky draw of email or it might be faked e-mail lucky draw which I got the email .. was the email from your company or by scammer need urgent help or response please

Treat your employees like actual people and don't sack them to replace with younger ones. And this is an extremely ableist company. Treat my dad horribly for all the years he worked there and Treat my fiancé horribly. Avoid assembly jobs at all costs

As an ex employee I can say the plant here in Sunderland is great at keeping quality standards. Care is taken on the assembly line to make sure each car that comes out of the factory is done to standards set in design brief. Some supplied parts from other supplier can improve in quality though.

Had to amend review as a couple of issues were prominent from day one1. No locking nut never came with the car, over few months i called 4 times and eventually told me as I'd signed for delivery it's my expense (no jack either I noticed as agent read inventory over phone).2. Stop start system never worked emailed about this the week I bought the car and was told to ring local evans, they said charge it which didn't work. Kept working less and less was told the same thing several times, to be honest felt fobbed off and soon as warranty expired they offered a diagnostic check for £120. (no mention of this previous to warranty expiring)I will be using a Volvo dealer for services etc. from now on.Initial sale was good though at Nissan Sunderland, with Caitlyn who no longer works there.

Good breakfast, staff are friendly (zone dependant), authentic themed bar, waiting area they make you work on the cars as part of your visit before and after food, if you're looking for a fun family day out this is cheap as chips, playground could be better, ask to be seated in trim for a full experience

Good company to work for . Awesome pay . Can be difficult in certain area's within the role. But totally recommend
