I had bilateral cataract surgery two months ago, and have been delighted with the results. Mr Rajesh Deshmukh implanted trifocal lenses (both at the same time), with the result that I no longer need to wear glasses. Although I was initially slightly nervous about doing both eyes at once, the process was quick and painless, and saved the trouble of having to schedule two procedures. I can thoroughly recommend Mr Deshmukh and his team.

I was delighted with the lens replacement procedure carried out by Mr Deshmukh three weeks ago. I had worn contact lenses for 45 years but three years ago, in my early 60's, had to abandon them for glasses, on which I was completely dependent. Now I only need to wear +1 glasses for reading the smallest print (eg ingredient lists on food packets). I had both eyes done on the same day which was easy and convenient and was back at work the following afternoon. The procedure itself was completed within about 45 minutes and all the staff were kind, supportive and helpful. I would recommend sedation on top of the anaesthetic as although the procedure is painless it helps to be completely relaxed.

I had bilateral cataract surgery ( trifocal lenses ) done by Dr Deshmukh in October 2023. I found him very knowledgeable and extremely professional .He counselled me well regarding the surgery , the types of lenses available and made me feel very comfortable both during the consultations prior to the surgery and post surgery .The surgery was smooth, quick and painfree .I had no complications post surgery .My vision both distant and near vision have become perfect .I do have the photic phenomenon post surgery ,common with trifocal lenses which is not affecting me that much (I am 3 weeks post surgery ) and with time this will gradually fade away .I will highly recommend Dr Deshmukh for he is the best at his job .

My recent experience of cataract surgery with Mr Deshmukh at Moorfields was very positive. He and his team were pleasant, informative, took time to answer my questions and made me feel very much at ease. The procedure was straightforward and painless, and seemed to take no time at all. My mum recently had her Cataract surgery for both her eyes done with Dr. Raj, the experience was incredible. My mum was very anxious and Dr. Raj was humble and supportive throughout the entire process. His communication was very effective, ensuring Mum understood what was happening despite the language barrier. Both the surgeries were a great success and my mum did not experience any pain with either of the surgeries and has made a significant good improvement in her vision. My mum had suffered a stroke which resulted in her right eye being lazy and hence having poorer vision in her right eye (6/24), she noticed good improvement in her vision shortly after the surgery where she could see clearer and sharper. The vision in the left eye has improved significantly going from 6/18 to 6/7.5.I would definitely recommend Dr.Raj for cataract surgeries as he is not only very professional but also very highly skilled and treats his patients very well. I had cataract surgery done on one eye by Mr Deshmukh 6 weeks ago. I am very short sighted and this added complexity to the procedure but it was straightforward and seemingly simple. Took no time at all. I had no pain then or afterwards and super sharp vision from day 2 when the dressing came off. I was super sensitive to bright daylight at the start but now all seems normal. I’m having my other eye done soon.
