I would recommend this funeral directors to anyone who wants the best care for their loved ones in their final journey of life. These guys go above and beyond any funeral directors I have ever had dealings with during our family passings over the years. What is also comforting was their genuine after care in the weeks and months after the funeral, which these days is a very very rare quality. I could not praise them enough. They were worth every penny. Thank you again Simon. We will never forget the respect you gave to our mother whilst she was in your care back in February 2020. God Bless!

This is the second time we have used Peter Dodds for family funerals,( first time was my dads) and recently my brother in laws.I cannot praise this company enough for the fantastic service and care we received. Every one of their staff are amazing and very very caring. David Gardner is one of the best I have ever had the pleasure to deal with Under such sad circumstances. A huge thank you to David Gardener and his amazing team for the first class service we received following the sad passing of our beloved mam. The entire process from start to finish was seamless and we could not have wished for a better final journey. Their compassion and attention to detail is second to none and they kept in constant contact throughout. We even received a courtesy phone call after the funeral to check that we were all OK. i just lost my partner recently and was totally terrified at how to organize a funeral. i need not have worried, they took care of everything. Craig was amazing and even got me chuckling when i felt so broken. My loved one was treated with such respect i cannot fault them. xxx

Craig and Simon blew us away with their calm, respectable and highly likeable personalities. They treated my dad wonderfully and were there anytime we needed. Kept us informed all along the way.

Myself and family have used Peter Dodd Services since I was a child, and we needed them recently. The whole experience was made as simple as possible for us and everything was was taken care of without any hassle.They were both Professional and very Caring, which made the whole experience much easier to cope with.I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Staff are very pleasant but I couldn't recommend this company. I was never given a written quote, only a verbal quote of £3500 - and consequently received a bill for over £4000 which they then tried to add an additional £180 to when I queried it. I appreciate a quote may not be exact but there's a big difference between £3500 and in excess of £4180. That was for a very basic funeral with the cheapest wooden coffin, only 1 car and no church service - just a 20 minute crematorium slot with a Humanitarian, (and other general funeral costs). I provided all of my own pallbearers and the wake was arranged completely independently of the funeral.Their Chapel of Rest is like something out of the 90's. When I went to visit my Dad in the chapel his mouth was hanging partially open at one side and there was dried blood around his lips. Not the final image I wanted of him. I understand that he had been gone for some time and obviously wasn't going to look his best but there's no reason to have blood on his face. My Dad's body was covered with a white cloth that looked like it had come out of the Victorian era and had a feminine design which made him look as if he was wearing a woman's blouse. The Humanitarian they used was appalling. She literally invented information about my Dad's life in her speech at the funeral and was very repetitive. I lost count of how many times she linked her fabricated comments with, Life has it's ups and downs"

Absolutely disgusting could not do the only thing I asked in the cremation of my father and totally ruined my father's send off. I only asked if he could detour past the Wavendon pub bar up Melbourne place, as my dad Allen Hume ( YUXIE ) drank there for like 50 plus years and thought it would be a nice touch. The proprietor David Gardner, the day I asked him this, personally on the 14 April, when I went to visit my dead dad in the chapel of rest 12 days prior to my fathers cremation said yes no problem at all Greg. YET the hearse drove straight up Chester road failing to detour up Melbourne place at all, like I specifically asked. Even when I maybe unprofessionally approached him pall bearing up crematorium road with my father in the hearse behind, he denied I ever asked him this, yet there was sufficient enough time to drive back out and go past the Wavey, like I requested and carry out my only wish. Which is what any decent gentleman would have done, who goofed. Disgraceful David.
