Powell Joinery recently fitted a bespoke solid wood door for us in a period property; we cannot recommend them enough. From the first visit it was clear that Nat was set on giving the customer exactly what they want, he was full of great ideas and expertise which helped us achieve the perfect replacement door and canopy. The communication from the business was excellent and even with we hit a slight bump in the road with our wonky house they were quick to come up with a solution. Since having the door fitted we have had practically everyone comment on it from delivery people to neighbours... the quality and finish speak for themselves.

Great service and quality products! The team at Powell are friendly, knowledgable and very supportive. They have made all our wooden windows and bi-fold doors, as well as 2 bespoke oak entrance doors. They are exceptional quality and look fantastic. We had an absolutely incredible experience from design to installation of our 1930's bespoke front door. We approached Powell with some early ideas and they handled everything from there on.One special consideration for us was the design of the stained glass, which we needed to match the original 1930's glass next to the door. Initially, we were expecting to have to do this separately, but Powell were able to do this as one entire package. Additionally, we were able to add a 'smart lock' to the door, using our iPhone's to open and lock! This is great for our kids, but we have a key for when the grandparents (who aren't too confident with technology) need to access our house, too!We worked closely with Nat and Vicki who were amazing throughout. Nat visited our house early in the process to measure the opening, which wasn't a straight forward shape or fit, however his attention to detail meant the door fitted perfectly on delivery! Vicki constantly kept us updated and informed throughout the cycle, including helping us make the important decisions relating to design detail and colour! Although we didn't get to meet the entire team, you can see from our door that a great deal of skill and affection as gone into it.The door is amazing. In the short 4 weeks since it has been installed, we've had neighbours, delivery drivers, the postman, the milkman and friends all comment on how fantastic it looks. Most notably, people say 'I haven't seen that door anywhere before' - which is exactly what we wanted! In a world of mass production, we are delighted that we paid the extra money for unique, high quality and period fitting door that suits the house and our personality.Although our first project with Powell so far, it will certainly be the first of many! I’ve been incredibly impressed with the team at Powell Joinery. The craftsmanship and the quality of the work exceeded my expectations. Our new kitchen/mezzanine oak stairs are a thing of beauty and I couldn’t stop peaking whilst Dan and the guys were fitting. With a refurb of our existing staircase planned later in the year, Nat took great care to make sure there will be consistency with the new stairs and the future makeover. I’d have no hesitation recommending.

I have just had a front door made and fitted plus an over the door decorative canopy. The craftmanship is fantastic and both items have been spray painted by the company and the finish is excellent. The 2 chaps who did the fitting were tidy and respectful of my cottage. All round brilliant service and have made me a very happy bunny!! Would use this company again-nothing has been too much trouble from start to finish. Thanks very much.

Powell Joinery gave an excellent service and a very high quality finished product that exceeded my expectations. We had two doors and a casement window to replace old items, and they matched the moulding to the original Georgian door. Compared with another bespoke joinery firm I have used, they were also good value and I will definitely be using them again. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone.

The service received from Powell Joinery Ltd from initial phone call to completion was first class and I would have no hesitation in using their services again or recommending them. The standard of workmanship was second to none and what a joy to be able to deal with a local company. The work carried out was bespoke and installation of the door was handled by efficient, pleasant, clean and tidy joiners.

The guys from Powell Joinery installed a full door-sized gate within my garden wall. The gate came pre-painted and after several years is still flawless. I've had them back recenlty to make and install a pre-painted sash window. This is the second local firm I've used for replacements windows and will not be returning the first. Nice people. BTW: the paint is sprayed, which gives a great finish.

Fantastic service and great craftsmanship. The team at Powell made and fitted us new bespoke front and back doors - and they truly are things of beauty. They are exceptional quality and really add to the character and finish of our house. We originally considered composite doors - however looking back now this would have been a huge mistake and I’m so glad we didn’t. The doors are now probably my favourite part of our whole house refurbishment and make a great first impression on visitors.I can't recommend them enough. Thank you Powell Joinery!
