I contracted the relocation services of Mark Palmer of Forbury Services a few months ago, after struggling to secure pet friendly accommodation in a highly competitive UK rental market. Marks approach was consultative listening to what we were looking for, and together with his knowledge & experience gave us the comfort he was the best bet in assisting us. Mark then forwarded us lists of options weekly, while we also kept a look out ourselves. We eventually managed to find the suitable accommodation ourselves through a social feed, but Mark then took over to setup interviews and negotiate the lease agreement with the landlord giving us flexible terms we would not have been able to secure ourselves. Highly recommend Mark & Forbury Services.

I recently moved to the UK from South Africa and was looking for somewhere to live, after weeks of dead ends and frustration I was on the verge of giving up. Then I was told about Forbury Services, Mark was such a big help, he took me through every step of renting a property from dealing with the agent and asking the right questions to reading the fine print in the tenancy agreement. He was even there on the day the keys were handed over and helped me go through the inventory check and helped me set up utilities and WiFi!Whenever I wasn’t sure of something I knew I could give Mark a call and he’d be able to give the right advice and steer me in the right direction, I can honestly say that I wouldn’t have been able to get settled in my home as quickly and as hassle free had I not had him guiding me through.When it comes to renting property things in the UK can get complicated if you don’t know what you’re doing, that’s why I couldn’t recommend Forbury Services highly enough, what they do to help people settle in this country is incredible. While in SA and on the immigration path someone recommended using Forbury Services, seeing that finding a rental in the UK while abroad proved very difficult.Sceptic at first, I sent an email to Mark and got a response back the same day. He scheduled an online meeting to discuss our requirements and started searching.Two weeks later I was fortunate to travel to the UK. Mark lined up a number of properties which we viewed togheter over the course of a couple of days and was able to secure a rental at the end of the week. He also assisted in dealing with the agents, reviewing the agreements etc and made sure everything is done by the book.Using their services surely took alot of stress and uncertainty off our shoulders and could spend more time focussing on the rest of the immigration process and we were able to move in the day we arrived in the UK.I would definatley recommend anyone in the same boat to strongly consider making use of their services, wheter still in SA or already in the UK.Money well spent!

During what turned out to be a very lengthy home search in a difficult and foreign market Mark and Debbie were very patient, communicated promptly and and were always helpful answering our questions. Once we'd found a place Mark managed the negotiations and dealings with the estate agent, which was invaluable as we had a slightly unique set of circumstances. Highly recommended , especially if you're new to the UK rental market.

I recently worked with Mark to relocate one of his clients to Reading. Our professions and understanding of the Reading property market align and it was a pleasure to work with him and get his client moved. I look forward to working with Mark again.

Through my rental estate agent I used the services of Forbury services for both a check out and a check in. The gap between the reports was 3 weeks. I was left incredulous about the differences in the report. The check out was a reasonable review of the property and gave an overall thumbs up for the previous tenant who got his entire deposit back. However, three weeks later, after I had done various work and improvements on the property the check in report slammed my property. identical photos taken and totally different reviews of the condition. Descriptions changed from professionally cleaned to domestically cleaned to below standard, to not cleaned to marked/stained and so forth. I raised it with the estate agent and with Mark himself and was given really bad excuses and not even a decent apology. I really resent paying for this service". The report was given to the tenants before I had a chance to read it and challenge it. A complete waste of money and it has left a bad taste overall. Fortunately I have great tenants and we have both agreed to write the Check In report off as a bad job and inaccurate at best."
