Mortal Kocktail
Quickly became our favourite bar in Edinburgh. Returned every night. Surprisingly had one of the best vegetarian/vegan menus we could find in the city, though food is only available a few nights a week, so best to check ahead if you’re wanting to eat. And very good local beer selection. It’s not a fancy place, but we came here every night we were in Edinburgh

Mortal is the definition of a truly exceptional experience. Service and friendliness cannot be beat! Ben in particular behind the bar was an absolute joy. Family vibes and will be making this my local. Well done guys

A small selection of arcade games and decent selection of pinball games. While there are a couple of free arcade games the rest cost one pound to play. Maybe I'm spoiled where I live, but this is 2-4x more than the going price per play. Fun and fantastic bar tender!

Amazing staff, had the best cocktail here !Super friendly vibe, lovely low-key atmosphere with a community focused manner. The regulars were wonderful and vibrant plus the dogs sitting in booths were Stella!Fair priced drinks and the tagging in the bathroom is immaculate ….Best bar in Edinburgh by far x

I planned a surprise party for my partner at Mortal Kocktail and it went down a massive success! I contacted the venue in advance to reserve some booths for about ~16 people, explaining that this would be a special occasion. The staff were super helpful and very friendly. They also went above and beyond with all the little touches to make our evening extra special.Food was quick and delicious. Both food and drinks were reasonably priced - we ended up spending quite a lot because we stayed so long! It was great fun playing the wide selection of arcade games too - some were free play and others required coins (you can get change from the bar). The general ambience of the place was fab - with great music, yet we were still able to hear each other easily.Will definitely be back in future and would highly recommend visiting if in the area.

I've been here a few times. They have some excellent arcade games and board games, not to mention a great cocktail menu. The food is also fantastic but isn't available all the time. However, it's possible to order in when they aren't serving food. After my friends left for gig, I sat at the bar for a little while, as I'm in crutches at the moment so dancing is off the agenda.I found all of the staff to be friendly, welcoming, attentive and accommodating. As the venue is located in one of the Old Towns infamous closes, full of stairs, a member of staff came out to help me down the stairs when I left because of being on crutches. I can't thank them enough, it was a wonderful experience and I will be back for certain

Great music, great cocktails and fun vibe. Weirdly, no mortal combat game available though.Nikki was a top class server and made our visit memorable. Be nice and she’ll play your favourite tunes

Awesome barcade with friendly staff. Nice pinball cabinets and a few arcade games (shooters, crazy taxi, etc)
