Attended both an ML Masterclass and ML re-assessment. Both courses provided lots of new learning delivered in a professional and enjoyable manner. Instructors were very knowledgeable and adapted the programmes to meet the needs and desires of the clients. Highly recommended.

I attended a recent Rope Skills & Rescue Masterclass with Chris. This was an excellent day, full of applicable techniques that should be part of every independent climber's knowledge base and expertise. Although I had done some of these things many years ago, relevant recent practice is essential, as is knowing the best current methods. If you carry prussik loops on your rack (and you should), then you owe it to yourself and your climbing partners to know a few key ways to use them to deal with problems that may arise. I came away from the day with things to work on and to share with my regular climbing partners, and the confidence to do that. I've worked with Chris before, using him as a guide to give me a climbing MOT and get me back on the rock after a 15-year layoff; and I attended his learn to lead masterclass as part of that reskilling process. I recommend highly that you contact Chris and Anne is you too want to be a safe, competent climber.

Completed the wall to rock conversion course with Chris on 3-4 August 2023. Chris was a superb guide/instructor, tailoring the course to my specific needs, as well as being calm and patient in his coaching throughout. Would definitely recommend!

Attended the ML Training Course August 2023 and found it extremely enlightening, enjoyable and challenging at times.My goal was to identify and highlight what I was lacking for my ML Assessment - and I came away with a long, but clearly itemised list!As you would expect from someone with the volume of experience Chris has, he knows his subject. But in addition to his obvious technical know-how, I found his earthy, wholesome attitude and approach very easy to connect with and understand.The course was well drilled without feeling that way and certainly Chris has a keen eye for who is picking what up, or not, and then addressing it in a kind, empathic way.I also had the privilege of spending time with Alex Jones who was running the course with Chris and felt that he upheld the high standards that Chris quietly demands, impeccably.So overall I would highly recommend the ML Training Course although I expect all of the courses Chris offers would be delivered to an equally high standard.

It was the best assessment in my life. I felt like I was guided through rather than assessed. Of course it was requited for me to present a certain amount of knowledge and skills, but the atmosphere was great.

Last week I did the Short Roping Masterclass with Chris. I wasn't sure what to expect but I was blown away by the quality of the course. I thought my short roping was fairly good but Chris unpicked traditional thinking exposing weaknesses in techniques, creating healthy and thought provoking debate and skilfully demonstrating more effective ways of safeguarding clients on steep and consequential ground. A tip top course which I'd thoroughly recommend. Thanks Chris.

I've just completed a Learn to Lead Masterclass and can not recommend it highly enough, if you are at the point where you want to move from seconding to leading climbs. Chris is an excellent teacher and mentor and has given me the confidence to move to the next stage of my climbing journey.

Just completed ML training with Chris & his team. An excellent week in the Lake District. Chris has so much knowledge which he freely shares. Whole course was conducted in a very friendly atmosphere. Looking forward to returning for assessment.

I have attended both an RCI masterclass and RCI assessment with Chris.Anne was able to give me all pre course information I needed in plenty of time, and went above and beyond helping me with crossing the t’s and dotting the i’s with my DLOG.Chris is incredible. Not only as an assessor and the wealth of knowledge that he has (which is vast!!) but was able to give me individual attention to help me combat my assessment anxiety and lack of self belief. He knew I was capable before I knew I was!I can give the biggest amount of credit to Chris that at I have been able to walk away with a pass with an even better understand of the sport.Thank you both for everything. I did the 1-day Contour Masterclass led by Chris. A superb day which was well thought through with a good step-by-step progression as the day went on. My first course with Chris - he has so much experience which he openly shares in a really clear way. Money well spent - if you sign up with Chris you wont be disappointed.
