Regal Fish & Chips

We saw good reviews for this place so decided to get fish & chips. There was hardly any fish, mostly batter & very greasy. The chips were re-heated & also very greasy. Definitely won't be visiting this place again.

After an Saturday afternoon on the beach, I wanted the full beach day out experience so googled nearest English chip shop. I couldn't find one but did find a Chinese and the reviews looked good, (I always check first). However the concensus definitely didn't reflect what I purchased. I arrived at approximately 6pm, it was busy. I appreciate this is a Chinese takeaway and not a English chippy too so they was busy with meals.I placed the order for 2 portions of fish and chips to go. It took 25 minutes from payment to receiving my food.We then went back to the sea front to eat them.Decent size portion but multiple time refried chips , almost just crunchy bits which shattered on each bite and extremely greasy. The fish looked a decent portion but looks was a little deceiving. The fish was encased in a rock hard greasy batter shell and a thick gooie uncooked batter centre with 2 fish finger sizes of fish. I begrudge wasting food or cash so at least the seagulls ate well that evening.By the way, ITS A CASH ONLY establishment, thankfully I had emergency money in the car.On a positive note, the lady serving was very pleasant

Disappointing. The best take-away restaurants are busy on Friday and Saturday nights so it was no surprise that I had to wait for my order. However, ordering at 7:30pm meant I had to wait until 9:00pm, which is far too long. What was further disappointing is that the food wasn’t good. The sauces we’re ok but the meat quality was poor. Not somewhere that I’ll be returning to. Staff were pleasant and courteous.

Just had a very nice fish and chip meal from Meols chip shop. The fish was white and fresh and chips freshly made

Food was hot and fresh, fast service, big portions, good prices. Would definitely go back.

Great selection, nice food ....what more could you ask for ? Well card payment would be nice , that's the only reason they lose a star

Food quality is good, it gets busy though so wait times can be quite long but they get through them as fast as possible.Good selection of dishes, we have never had an issue with any of the food.

Fantastic food that is out of this world. I can't recommend this takeaway enough. Clean kitchen you can see from the counter. Tried Regal fish and chips for the second time and have not been disappointed. You can't go wrong ordering any meals from Regal 10/10 again. Just had a mixed hot box with noodles. Oh my goodness. Fantastic. Keep up the good work boys and girls. You deserve to prosper from all your efforts and hard work
