Had a lovely lunch after visiting the Carloway Broach. Great service, made to feel very welcome. Dog friendly too, our Collie had a good time. Would recommend a spot if seeing the sites on the West side.

The place looks tired and dreary and the food is over priced and sub-par, however the worst aspect is the service. The two women who served us were absolutely appalling. My husband was given a dirty glass and when we asked for another the woman huffed and then took 15 minutes to return with a clean one. Food took over an hour as we were being punished for simply being there. Clearly they hate their jobs and will take it out on anyone who comes to dine. The cold comfort was it didn't just seem to be us, several groups of diners were complaining and having full arguments with these two staff members. Definitely do not recommend.

Didn't stay in the hotel so can't comment on the accommodation, but I did have a Sunday lunch here and it was excellent. Good portions, fresh local ingredients and cooked wonderfully. Staff were falling over themselves to be helpful and make sure everything was as we wanted. Highly recommended.

Had takeaway burger and veggie burger, chips and salad. Food was excellent. Great service from friendly staff. Will be back for more next year.

Food only visit - enjoyed my meal. Nice place, great view, good service. Restaurant could do with some music.

We were shifted from another location, but were very pleased with this hotel and especially with the restaurant. The view from the panoramic windows is unique, it also has a little shop. The cook does an excellent job. The room was totally ok.

Booked to eat here Wednesday evening, unfortunately we won't be returning, we don't mind paying for a decent meal but the portion sizes are a joke. I ordered lasagne which was more like a spaghetti bolognaise made with linguine pasta and was like a child's portion served with chips a small amount of coleslaw and a small salad. My partner had fish and chips which contained 3 fish goujons with chips, coleslaw and salad. The staff did have the decency to knock £5 off due to the small portion of what they served as lasagne, if they didn't have lasagne they should have just said instead of serving me what they did. Did wonder if they kept the best for residents or the locals - they did tell us they were fully booked and most were locals. Surely the local people wouldn't eat there if they were served such paltry portions

Quite the experience, we had pre-booked a table, but they were not expecting us. Our American waitress made a point of sighing and moaning every time we annoyed her by ordering drinks, asking for a clean glass etc. When one of our party asked if there was a vegetarian option, she may as well have asked for the contents of the cash register... The roast dinners" arrived and our £15.50 bought us 2 slices of delicious meat

Set in a fairly remote location the hotel was very clean and comfortable. Rooms although a little small still offered enough space. Although menu was fairly limited the quality and quantity offered good value for money. Would certainly stay here again
