Phillips Funeral Directors

It was my late Father's wish to use Phillips in Harpenden..well he certainly made a very good choice.Very professional and friendly. They made a difficult time easier for us to deal with. So thankyou to all at Phillips.

From first meeting when we popped in to make an appointment, throughout the process, Donna, our funeral arranger, was so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. All of the arrangements for the service were made very efficiently, I was able to call into the office whenever I needed to, by arrangement, to sit with my wife in the Chapel of Rest and Donna also helped by listening to my reading of my tribute when I wasn't sure if I would be able to get through it. On the day, everything went just as well as it possibly could on what was obviously the most difficult time.I would have no hesitation in recommending Phillips to anyone needing to make arrangements for their loved one.

I would just like to say that from the day we went to the funeral parlour to the day my husband was cremated Phillips staff were so caring nothing was a problem On the day of David a funeral from the gentlemen who drove the cars to the minister every one took good care of myself and family I would like to say a big Thank you to you all and for giving David the send offhe most certainly deserved thankyou

They would not return my phone calls or emails. This made an already bad situation worse. We had a meeting and they did not know about our plan and tried to sell us another plan. In the end we where invoiced for additional cost, which were not included in the original plan and later on we were sent a reminder that they were going to start and charge us interest on the outstanding invoice. We complained in a letter in early October and still waiting for a reply. The last email referred us to an 0800 number so we were being passed from pillar to post.

Over 5 weeks to receive ashes. Immoral. Unforgivable.

My family contacted the funeral directors twice last week following my mum passing away. Unfortunately we were told both times someone would call back that day but we had no response so decided to go elsewhere.

All arrangements for my husband's cremation were handled over the phone. I am grateful for the sensitive efficiency Luke dealt with everything. We had the service we wanted and I would recommend Phillips without hesitation.

We found all members of Phillips staff very pleasant to deal with & they were always at the end of the phone for anything that needed clarifying. They made dads passing less stressful than it could of been. I would not hesitate to recommend Phillips in the future.
