Lovely, passionate and helpful volunteers, good advice and of course the pets welfare is core!

Volunteered here for a bit. Staff are all brilliant, they work very hard and are totally dedicated to the animals in their care. They get no government funding so they rely on donations and the extra money they make through boarding. They certainly deserve all the support they can get. Please consider rehoming rather than buying an animal or getting a puppy or kitten. Shelter animals need love too.

Had to unfortunately take a dog to SSPCA Dumbarton for rehoming for an elderly neighbour who could no longer look after him. It was a very emotional experience for the elderly owner, and myself as I had grown quite attached to him but circumstances at home prohibited me from keeping him with me. The staff both on the phone and at the centre were brilliant. They were very friendly and understanding, and seemed to appreciate just how difficult it was for the owner. We have been able to keep in touch with the centre to check on the dog which has been a great comfort. Well done.

Fabulous service. Called about a rabbit I was concerned about. Horrendous living conditions and owners have now been away for a week on holiday. Disgusting! Myself and a neighbour were just making sure she had some water and food. Scottish SPCA were there within an hour of my call, attached a 24 hour warning notice and 24 hours later the wee rabbit was recued. I can sleep better now knowing she is out of there.

They came and picked up a hedgehog I found and took it to the hospital

Best staff ever. Thoroughly checked us out to make sure we would make a good fit for our kitten and helped every step of the way!

The staff really do care for the animals. They make visitors welcome and you come away knowing how much care is taken to find good homes for the rescue animals.

Went to their Dumbarton fun day on Sunday. Great day and such a well run event.
