Kirkby Household Waste Recycling Centre

Used the facility for the first time on Saturday, My wife and I were pleasantly surprised how clean and tidy it is and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

I use this tip on a regular basis. Alway clean and staff are always helpful. I went to the tip yesterday and I had accidentally put my phone in a bin bag and threw it in the giant container! I knew it was there because it was connected to the Bluetooth in my car. John got in the container and started pulling out binbag after binbag. The other staff emptied my whole car and went through that. Over an hour these amazing guys helped me look for my phone then John found it! Honestly these fellas that work here are absolutely amazing and brilliant. I ran upto John and gave him the biggest hug in the World I didn’t care how filthy he was from being in all that rubbish! So thank you John and all the other great fellas at Kirkby tip I promise to never throw my phone away again!

Excellent staff, easy to navigate and really can't praise it high enough. Once you know to get there down Depot Road via Acorn farm and not through the industrial estate, as my map took me, it is so easy to get to.

Just used the Kirby Recycle Centre, staff are so helpful and the site is immaculate. Never saw a Household Waste Site so clean !

Easy to find, easy access. Signs telling were to put your items/rubbish.

As tips go the staff are lovely and happy to help. It’s tidy and has easy access to where you need to place your rubbish!

Spent 11 nights here all inclusive in June loved the place going to book again for next year

Though I had finally found a tip where the staff are not jobsworths pushing their authority on the public.I always adhere to rules at the tip and speak to everyone with respect as I see how staff bluntly speak to people in other tips and I wouldn’t want to have confrontation.Yet I was screamed at from other side of yard by some European guy whilst my Son was in the car with me to put cardboard in number 10 which was closed and over flowing whilst I was dumping in another skip that was 90% empty and unchained.Not going fully into details as cannot be arsed.Drove away fuming and took me about an hour to calm down. Should have just got myself barred and would feel much better about it.

I visited this site today and the staff were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. It's so nice to receive such good service. Keep up your good work. It's 10/10 from me.
