I have had a terrific experience with Guardian. They were able to arrange a full woodworm and damp survey for me with very little notice. Chris was an absolute pleasure to deal with and extremely helpful and knowledgeable regarding any work that needs to be done. My house project is a big one and I felt totally reassured and confident after his visit. The insurance backed warranty they offer on their work is one of the best. I would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family.

Guardian Preservation are fantastic; professional from start to finish. I can’t thank them enough for their advice and help. So many other companies provide huge reports that “cover their arses” but are, in fact, just scaring you into spending unnecessary money. Not Guardian Preservation! They literally saved me thousands !! Chris was even responding to my emails whilst he was on holiday to ensure that the timings all worked and I was able to get an appointment immediately on his return! I can’t emphasise enough what a super company they are to deal with .. certainly worth call.

We bought a property a few years ago which Guardian Preservation Services provided damp treatment for. Upon purchasing the property, we had to pay a fee to transfer the warranty from the previous owner's name into ours. After suspecting that their work was failing in multiple places, we sought an independent report from another company. They confirmed our suspicions - that the work was not fit for purpose and had been carried out poorly. We contacted Guardian Preservation who requested a fee of over £350 to come out and survey the property. Interestingly, this appears to be substantially higher than the cost of their survey associated with quoting for new business. We have chatted to tradesmen in the area and we were told our experience is consistent with others in the vicinity. There are negative reviews online if you spend more than a few minutes looking. On becoming aware of their reputation, we have decided to engage a company we believe we can trust to fix the problem despite the thousands of pounds we will have to incur.

As a professional property management business, Martin & Co. Cheltenham have used Guardian Preservation Services several times over the last 2 years. They have completed a variety of jobs,- big to small and have achieved excellent results. Their staff are knowledgeable, courteous and do their work to a thorough high standard.

We gained a lot of knowledge and peace of mind from Guardian's assessment of our home. The assessment itself was quite thorough as was the subsequent report. It was a relief that they found all to be in good condition (so no additional charges/work required), however, their recommendations for preventing issues in the future were still quite helpful. Would recommend to someone who is concerned about the possibility of damp in their home as they seem honest, knowledgable, and reliable.

Guardian Preservation saved me from much worry and indecisions, free of charge, with a professionalism and level of expertise that exceeded all my hopes. I was so doubtful about all the 'advice' I had been given about my damp problem, unsure if different companies were just out to make money from me, without actually sorting the damp issue I have had for a long while. On the basis of some photos I had sent, and my written description, Guardian Preservation reassured me about the best treatment for damp while also respecting my wish not to waste money. It is so rare to find a company that has the customer's best interest at heart, and I am immensely grateful.

Guardian were recommended to us by our neighbour who had been very impressed with the quality of their work. We can see why. Clearly, others clients and potential clients are impressed because they are in much demand. As a result, we had to wait a few weeks for them to be able to do the survey. We are glad that we waited.A very thorough survey with really helpful recommendations. Unlike the large national company who we also asked for a survey, Guardian told us not to undertake expensive remedial work. Instead, we should carry out some limited mitigation. I think it is the sign of a really good company when they do not recommend unnecessary work. Very impressed with Guardian and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Guardian came to assess what I thought was a serious issue with my basement and were extremely knowledgable and helpful. They arrived on time, were very professional and reassuring. They have done work on my house previously which was of a high standard. Luckily for me, I don't need their services this time but would highly recommend them for their professionalism, knowledge and how helpful they were. Thank you Tim and Nick.

Several of the more negative reviews on this site appear to originate from a somewhat suspect source and should be treated as such.My own experience has been nothing but positive. The team at Guardian are professional, knowledgeable and have always been very helpful in a number of dealings with them for numerous properties over the years.

We were delighted with the standard of the work done in our property. Steve, who did this work was very efficient, friendly and professional. He went the extra mile for us in getting the work completed in a short time scale as we had family coming to stay with us. I would highly recommend Guardian Preservation to others.
