Sarah has been working with my teenage son for just under 7 months and I can honestly say this experience has completely transformed him as a student and young man. We decided to home school after a couple of years in private education abroad where he struggled to keep up with his classmates. He lost interest in education and his self esteem plummeted The harder he tried the more stressed he became and his grades slid. It was heart breaking to watch.Sarah has worked really hard to 'meet him where he is at' and his confidence has returned along with a real commitment to his education that I have not seen before. Sarah has a unique ability to draw out the best in her students. She provides detailed feedback and support to keep everyone aware of the targets and keep the student moving forwards. We will be continuing to work with Sarah next year on the A Levels and couldn't imagine how we would do it without her now. It's wonderful to see my son actually looking forward to his lessons and actively taking responsibility for his education.I am so glad we found Sarah.

Sarah has worked with my son for the past few months, supporting him in preparation for his English GCSE's. My son is dyslexic and struggles with certain subjects. Since working with Sarah, Jack's confidence has increased immensely, giving him the encouragement he needs to succeed. I can't thank Sarah enough for the support she has given my son. I can highly recommend Sarah. My son (Year 11) has only been doing lessons for a few weeks and has already improved by two grades in his English. More importantly though is that he really enjoys the lessons and Sarah is fantastic with her approach, giving him the boost in confidence he needed to continue to work hard in the build up to his final exams.

Upon reflection, I found Sarah’s teaching very detailed and thorough. She was patient in coaching me to review my work and measured in my study strategy. The work she helped me with has greatly assisted my time at university. I will re-engage with her during my vacation to strengthen my writing and comprehension skills.

My son started taking English lessons from Sarah around 18 months ago and I am very satisfied with the improvements in his English grades and his ability to analyse and write about famous plays by the likes of William Shakespeare over the past three years. Her encouragement to always improve has impacted my son in all aspects of life and other subjects in school. Sarah has also helped my son effectively write compelling blogs for his website. In school, coursework has been quite a big part of the GCSE course of English at my son’s school and she has helped him improve his work significantly and achieve a high mark. Her way of teaching is very unique, and she has a very positive learning environment which is exactly where I would want my son to learn English language. GCSE English is quite a difficult course to get high marks in for most people but with Sarah, it has been a great experience for my son. Her role as a GCSE English examiner has given her a lot of experience in the IGCSE and AQA curriculum which enables her to effectively teach all the necessary content to receive the highest grades. I hope to continue to see improvements in his English knowledge with Sarah in the future.

Sarah has been known to us for many years. It is not just her deep skills and experience that make her unique to the students but it is the commitment and empathy towards her students. Her relentless focus on making sure the students perform at the highest level but helping them with the mindset to do that. The art of learning to pass an exam and knowledge enhancement as a life-long skill are 2 different things. She mixes both with such ease that helps a student success in the short and long term.

I would highly recommend Sarah who has been supporting our 15 year old son with structured revision, tailored towards his needs. My son Sam started getting tuition with Sarah from January 2019. The prediction mark for Sam at that time was B. Sam made a great progress in a short time with Sarah and got A+ in English first language. She is a great teacher. She cares about her students and tailor her teaching according to their needs. I highly recommend Sarah.

Sarah has been working with my 15 year old daughter for just over six weeks, supporting her with structured GCSE revision with a view to improving knowledge and confidence with a view to achieving a pass at GCSE. The improvement in her confidence and learning in such a small space of time has been amazing. Sarah has built a lovely rapport with my daughter, taking her through mock GCSE questions and providing her with structured supporting work to consolidate her learning.
