Like a previous poster, I've had to chase Paul twice now and I still don't have my report. This is delaying my sale as I need the report to redeem my Help to Buy Loan. The initial contact was great, and the survey was carried out really quickly. I paid the £300 almost immediately so the least I expect is a similar level of service. It was 14th June when the survey was done, and I was told it would be 7-10 days, it's 7th July and despite asking twice (first time I was told I would have it next day) I still don't have anything.

We used Paul at Norton Highfield for a first-time buyer purchase of a property. The report was detailed and thorough, it really helped us to have a costing of possible prices to help put into context the repairs needed and how to prioritise them. There was also a clear rating system used which helped to inform which issues could wait and which required more immediate attention. Paul was on hand to talk us through the report (even on a weekend!) which was helpful to help contextualise a detailed document. Would absolutely recommend, fantastic service.

A quick friendly response when making enquiries and booking a survey. However I had to chase up the report twice once the survey had been done. It should have been with me within 5 working days, but after chasing it up, it was 2 weeks before I received it - very disappointing

I was disappointed with the service I received. In general, Paul gave good advice and the report seemed fine, although I wouldn’t know if it wasn’t as I have nothing to compare it to. But initially quoted me online something like £8-900 and then rang me and lowered the quote to about £500, which makes me wonder what the additional £3-400 initially quoted was actually for. Still, he seemed knowledgeable and even though I’d read reviews about having to chase him up, I thought I’d give him the benefit of the doubt, however, I too had to chase him up. Initially when I enquired with him, I was told the report would be with me in 5 working days, then after I’d paid was told it would be 7. It then got to 10 days. I rang Paul to ask where the report was and he said he would send it over that day and he didn’t. A couple of days later I rang back asking again where the report was and he assured it would be sent later that day. It was sent at 1am the following morning, 12 days after the survey had been completed. Given that you have to pay a lot of money upfront, you shouldn’t have to be chasing someone for something you’ve already paid for. I think it’s poor service to be kept waiting for that long, with poor communication, false promises and then no follow up.

Offered to match the price of another surveyor which is great, but then failed to show up twice. Second time I had to ring him only to find out he couldn't make it again.

The job carried out was replacing the attic floor and joists from the bedrooms below. The work was contracted by Norton Highfield. Communication was good and the builders who carried out the work did everything to make a painful and dirty job s stress free as possible.

I needed a surveyor and my price quoted for a Homebuyer survey was very competitive. Paul telephoned me the same day and went to survey the property a week later. He e mailed me the day before to confirm and also let me know when he had arrived at the property. As soon as he had done the survey he me know within a couple of hours that the house was fine.
