Great customer service, with prompt and ready assistance provided by all the staff I interacted with during the letting process and afterwards in order to help get my apartment sorted.Shout out to Ben Chapman who showcased my current apartment, Courtney Brant who helped out during the letting process and sorting out the tenancy agreement.Special thanks to property manager, Habiba Mokhtar, who went above and beyond in helping get the boiler sorted when it broke, chasing up contractors even over the weekend.

I had a fantastic experience with a Roman estate agent, Taylor Hepworth has been really helpful and professional. He guided me through the whole process patiently and answered all the details about renting a house which part I needed to notice very quickly.

Romans in Clifton offers a very personalised service. Property Managers like Habiba Mokhtar understand Bristol's private-rented housing market well, she nurtures good business relationships with landlords/ladies like me and she negotiates with tenants effectively. Romans Letting Agent select and vet new tenants and contractors for repairs rapidly. Listening managers like Jack Ashford in Clifton, aim to resolve sensitive issues, showing empathy, in a way that landlords/ladies understand. I feel reassured having a team who work together, when problems arise.I eventually got used to Romans’ high tech, IT-intensive approach. Roman's charges seem expensive for landladies like me, as I have a small portfolio of properties but I learnt from Romans in Clifton, Bristol's professionalism when hitches occur. The team remain calm when resolving complaints or deposit deductions and teamwork with property owners to vet and welcome tenants. I had experienced four different Letting Agents over years before and so far, Romans has offered the most personalised service, by comparison. I thank Habiba and Jack for marketing one of my properties in 2023.

Great experience working with Alisha Parker at the Clifton branch. She really helped to get the remedial works for my boiler sorted at my property so the gas safety certificate could be issued on time. Great service and support!

From a landlords perspective Romans have been absolutely brilliant. I knew from the moment I met Jack that he and the team at Romans would be a right fit and I believe they will treat my tenants well too.A big shout out to Taylor Hepworth who has been responsive, helpful and just gets things done in the most efficient way. Avoid avoid avoid - will never be renting with Roman’s again but unfortunately in this climate you might have to because it’s so crazy in Bristol to find a place. If that is the case, keep a note of everything you agree in emails because these lot will try to squeeze every penny out of you as possible whilst doing little to no work.This has been the worst experience renting a property I’ve ever had. From Day 1 when Taylor lied to us during our viewing about scaffolding being removed before we move in (which had previously been up for 2 years and stayed up for 9 months of our tenancy) it had been a nightmare. Getting items fixed was always a hassle, no one ever answers the phone at the Clifton office so you have to contact other offices, and we were told the landlord wasn’t contactable because he lived abroad, but he would seemingly show up randomly near the end of our tenancy claiming items that weren’t his were his.Our property managers would change monthly, likely due to incompetence, and we were never informed when this happened and who then to contact which made raising issues very difficult. Shout out to Emma, Laura, Adam, Josh, Habiba, Alisha, Luke & Skye for being no help.When we moved in we agreed we could dispose of stained mattresses and broken bed frames without replacing them - but once we moved out were billed £1500 for “missing items”. Plus, we waited 6 DAYS after our move in date for the property to be cleaned, and were then subsequently billed over £500 for cleaning once we moved out. See the images attached to see the state of the property when we were given our keys.When we were offered the chance to extend our tenancy with a HIGHER rent price we quickly declined.
