Didn't stay over, just here for a family celebration meal.Despite it being absolutely full to the rafters, the service staff were friendly and did their utmost to keep everyone happy.The food was great, portions were big and leaving food on the plates was a sign of full up rather than not liking it.We all opted for the 2 courses for about £21 and had option of additional course for extra £4-5.Would definitely return again.

Excellent lunch for 14 of us. From the first friendly greeting through to leaving nothing was to much trouble. Food was excellent as was the table service.

Had Sunday lunch and couldn't fault it. Chilled atmosphere, very attentive service and food was grand. Portions were huge TBH and I was well beaten but the roast beef was tasty and tender. We enjoyed.

This place is an absolute hiding gem. From the minute you enter it’s warm and homely. The staff are always accommodating and the food is by far top notch plus consistent. Thank you guys

Had an overnight stay last night, really lovely hotel with the friendliest staff service was brilliant and the food was amazing, will definitely be back again!

I've never used the hotel, but have been for dinner several times and the food is second to none. Absolutely massive portions, really tasty food and the price is the best around.The one thing is that service can be hit or miss. Last time we were there as a table of 7, only 1 of us got served our starter and the rest of us waited 10 minutes until I finally drew the attention of a member of staff and asked where the 6 other starters were and it took another 10 minutes for them to arrive. The dining hall wasn't that busy either as our table was booked for 3pm on a Thursday.Other times, the service has been fantastic, but you're just never quite sure what you'll be sitting down to!

I am only reviewing my experience at the restaurant and I will say it was excellent.The service was fast and polite, the food was of high quality and tasted lovely.I had the roast beef dinner which was simply delicious and had large portions. Gravy was flavoursome.I do recommend the food and yes I will go again.

Went for mums birthday tonight and despite the fact it was bunged it was absolutely delicious, arrived faster than what we thought and very well priced for what you get, staff were lovely too, it was our first time there and we'll definitely be back!
