Winchester House Events Venue

Playball classes are very good. Lots of running, jumping and games. The coach is nice and very patient with kids

Winchester House has a beautiful function room overlooking a pleasant garden by The Thames. I'm currently organising an event at this venue and the professionalism and attentiveness of the team has so far been fantastic. It is a very old building so was not designed with accessibility in mind, therefore some of the staircases may be tricky to navigate for some visitors.

This place is beautiful. Went here for a birthday party with access to the front and back gardens.Despite being in a busy location, within the walls it's tranquil and beautifully green.The back garden looks out into the river.The inside of the house is draped in history. Really special place.

Such a charming place for a wedding with views to the Thames and lots of outdoor space. It was a hot day so the air conditioning in the main ceremony and dining room was brilliant. Ophelia was so helpful organising the day. Thanks for having us! Olly Knight Photography x

I have been to the Winchester afew times for events. The staff have at the bar have always been very helpful and smiling. The front lawn is such a fantastic location by the river and the snooker room is amazing - brilliant full sized tables and great conditioned cues. Thank you

We recently celebrated our special day at Winchester House in Putney, and it was nothing short of magical. The picturesque location overlooking the river Thames provided a breathtaking backdrop for our celebration.Winchester House is a hidden gem, offering everything you need in one place. The ballroom, space for bars, and cozy reading room, all nestled behind a lovely river garden, created an enchanting atmosphere for our guests.The front garden, meticulously maintained, was the perfect setting for our confetti moment, adding an extra touch of romance to our day. The kitchen facilities were more than adequate for our caterer, ensuring that everything ran seamlessly.Ophelia, our event organizer, was an absolute star. Her professionalism, knowledge, and organisational skills were unparalleled. She went above and beyond, ensuring everyone knew where they needed to be and even handled vendor coordination, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the joy of the day.We can't thank Ophelia enough for her dedication and hard work. Without her, our day wouldn't have been as smooth and flawless as it was. She truly is a credit to the events company.To the entire Winchester Staff, our heartfelt gratitude for your warmth and helpfulness. You not only assisted with packing away, but also graciously held on to some of our belongings we couldn't manage in the moment.Our wedding day was an absolute dream, and we owe so much of that to the incredible team at Winchester House. Thank you for making it a day we will cherish forever.

Winchester House offers that perfect level of country charm but with city sophistication. In particular the riverside garden is a real gem.The whole team are delightful and were so helpful with every aspect of our wedding, including last minute panics and dialling in the best man who had to stay at home with COVID.Ophelia and Tom were central to our day being a success and we were so lucky to choose them.

Venue is pretty, however no baby changing. When we asked, we were told it was in the ladies toilet but we went in and none there. Asked another member of staff who said there was no baby changing and that we could use a room on the side (which turned out to be where the musicians etc stored things and they were in and out trying to change). Not great for an events venue really.
