Went in this afternoon to get myself a pair of walking boots, as I wanted to try a few different pairs and get some advice. All the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, which never goes unnoticed. The guy who helped me out was really kind and helpful: he offered me some great advice, answered all my questions and didn't pressure me to buy anything. I ended up getting exactly what I came in for and will definitely be back!

High end product, really nice staff and services, quite happy that I got my merrell Moab for half the price, went to Snowdonia with it and it's perfect. Definitely would recommend.

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Megan helped me pick out a pair of low ankle hiking shoes for a trip next week and educated me on what to look for with shoes and how to care for them. Man at the checkout was also very helpful with price matching. Worlds apart from go outdoors, who were useless. Will be back!

Cannot fault the staff working there - as all the other reviews say they are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I am really disappointed to find that they have an unequal number of technical men's/women's mountaineering shoes - there are a few different options for men but none(!) for women.

I am preparing for a long trip in April and I bought a rucksack, waterproof and some trail shoes from this shop. Both times I went I only intended in looking at the gear I needed but the staff were so helpful and I was impressed with how knowledgeable they all were. Would recommend this shop to anyone and I am confident that the gear I have bought because of the staff. Even the security guard was friendly!

We have been to this store a few times, mainly to browse and have a look at kit in the flesh that other stores don’t have. Yesterday we visited and felt uncomfortable as soon as we walked in, there is a new security guard that makes you feel somewhat guilty the whole time you are in there as he will subtly follow you around. Unless you know what you are going in there for, you will be wandering for a while and with this chap in your shadow you simply just want to leave as soon as possible. Not only did I notice this, but my partner who was in a different section of the store brought this up when we had left saying she had felt uncomfortable.

Went to get bits for DofE, and my wife ended up buying some running trainers as they do Gate testing there. Great customer service, the guy was super knowledgeable and very helpful, and the other staff were just as helpful!

great outdoor shop with a wide range to fit everybody's taste. really helpful and knowledgeable staff. went looking for some sunglasses safety straps, however came away with a very light weight day sack . with good accessible pockets when wearing it and 20 litre capacity.
