Medivet 24 Hour Alfreton - Alfreton Park Veterinary Hospital

I have a scratchy dog, I've had 2 x consultations both with different Vets, the second consultation vet disagreed with the first! The cost of both visits including prescriptions c£250. I recently called and asked for a repeat prescription from the second visit and have just been to collect it and they wanted £148 - no consultation, yet the second visit including consultation and 2 prescriptions was £142. How can they justify these charges. Why do they expect us to just accept them. All they did was sign a prescription and put it together for me to collect. All consultations and prescriptions together would be nearly £400 and nowhere nearer a resolution to the issue. I walked out without the prescription, the charges are ridiculous and follow no reason. It feels like I'm being ripped off. Never again.

I was referred by my vet to have my Yorkie's heart scan. The reception was friendly, and the female vet was very knowledgeable, explaining the results in detail for us. Thank you.

Thank you so much for taking such good care of our cat, Timmy. He came in to the vets in such a bad way and we were very worried. He still has a way to go but thanks to the love and care from your vets, he is now so much better and is recovering.Thanks so much for looking after him so well and keeping us so well informed during his overnight stays.

We have had so much loving care from these vets from having a very poorly dog which had to be put down to the birth of our puppies, they are so helpful and kind.

Referred to Alfreton from Burton for Surgery. Matt preformed the surgery, the surgery was a massive success and all the staff helped make the entire procedure painless. I was kept informed throughout every step. Everything was broken down and explained to me. And everyone was amazing! They treat your pet like their own when we went back for the 10 day review the smiles on the staff faces at how well my dog was doing showed they really cared. The Surgeon even delayed a possible second surgery as he wanted to make sure it was in the dogs best interest. Other vets would have gone straight ahead just to get the money. Medivet and all the staff and practices I have interacted with are not like that, they care more about high quality service and your pet then they anything else!! So glad are local practice changed to Medivet. Will not be leaving them and will recommend them to anyone who will listen!

It was our first time visiting out of hours yesterday and all I can say is what a lovely bunch of kind people. From start to finish, professionalism and empathy was shown by all. Luckily, our cat was fine and is now at home being spoilt rotten but at the time we were all in such a panic. The staff - from the operator to the vet made the whole experience so smooth and we felt our cat was in safe hands. Thank you so much! Cannot recommend enough.

There is no question this veterinary practice is good, I just wish vet care was more affordable, as animals are an integral part of our health and well being. It's just getting to a point where a lot of us just cant afford it anymore.

I just want to thank all the staff at Alfreton Park vets for all of the care given to my Patterdale Ruby over the years. Sadly, she is no longer with us, and the practice supported me through the whole journey. Special thanks to Alex (veterinary surgeon). You have been so wonderful over the years. You are so kind and supported me and my family through such a difficult time. I would recommend this practice to anyone x
