Barchester - Tennyson Wharf Care Home
Tennyson Wharf is a beautiful care home situated at Burton waters with views of the boats and the river. I go into Tennyson Wharf fortnightly to deliver seated activities for Lincoln City Foundation. The care home is always clean, well presented and the staff are incredibly helpful. The residents are always really engaging and happy to join in with the activities. The activities coordinators are great at gathering the residents and making sure people from all areas of the home have an opportunity to watch or join in depending on how they feel.

I cannot comment on the Care Home itself however, the staff must be amazing. My elderly Mum with dementia collapsed near to this Care Home outside in a car park and one of the carers was made avalable to come and check on my Mum to ensure she was comfortable and safe for our long wait for the ambulance to arrive. A big thank you to Mollie (Bob) for your help & for reassuring us during this difficult time. You were amazing with how you were with Mum and proffesional at all times. If this is anything to go by this Care Home must be an amazing place to be for its residents & their families. Thank you.

What a wonderful place to work, howblessed am I.After 23 years as a midwife working in the NHS I joined tennyson wharf as a carer, now I have joined the 'pink ladies' on the activities team.I look forward to going to work every single day, love seeing the fabulous residents and whilst my job is to enrich their lives, they truly have enriched mine for sure.

Staff are the best , nothing is too much trouble. The home is extremely clean and the atmosphere one of safety and caring. Zoe , the manager, is always available to help should a problem arise. The food is of a really high standard and residents are encouraged and enabled to join in the many activities . I can't speak more highly of this home having experience of others.

A lovely care home set in a lovely location! I thoroughly enjoy following the Tennyson Wharf Facebook page and seeing all the enriching and interesting things the activities staff work so hard to set up for the residents. I would be very happy with the standard of care here and would not hesitate to make an enquiry if I wished to seek care for a loved one.

My wife has dementia. She has been in Tennyson Wharf for eight months. I am extremely happy with the care and attention she receives. All the staff are attentive and professional. The activities are varied and inclusive. The home is light and airy and feels like a hotel. The food is varied and nutritious and delicious. The garden is beautiful. Excellent care and thank you.

From the moment you walk into this home.. It's a lovely atmosphere. All the staff were pleasent, helpful, smiling and showed us where we needed to go. They run lots of activities and the team seem very dedicated to providing stimulation to live life and enjoy the activities.The rooms are beautiful and modern with ensuite bathrooms. And some have glorious views of the boats on the Marina. I wouldn't hesitate to place a family member or even myself in Tennyson Wharf when the time comes for needing extra care or assistance.

I have been bringing music classes to Tennyson Wharf for almost a year to bring families and residents together through the healing power of music.The care home is an amazing place, everyone smiles from the receptionist when you first arrive to the residents who come along week after week to the session. The Activities Co-coordinator Claire puts on lots of different activities.This is an amazing place and the manager puts her heart and soul into everything she does to make the care home the best it can be.Highly recommended
