From the first telephone conversation I was impressed by our surveyorIan K Cutts Associates.I had simply looked up the surveyors in Beckenham on Google. I wanted to be able to speak to the surveyor personally before appointing an expert and I was able to speak to Ian promptly.When we had bought our own home many years ago we have been very disappointed with our surveyor as they had not pointed out woodworm, or asbestos which was clearly visible on the garage and the outhouse. Also in the 1980’s we had not been guided as to how to check out electrical and plumbing defects. So that experience had left us very wary and cynical and had involved us in unexpected extra expense.Ian conversely Immediately impressed my husband and myself with his knowledge and professionalism. He took plenty of time talking on the phone about his service and we discussed exactly what we were looking for in the survey. I felt reassured and confident from our in depth free initial conversation.We needed a speedy survey as originally we had been advised that this was not necessary, but we changed our mind and I’m so thankful we did. We would never have discovered the faults that needed addressing and the money we spent on the survey has been more than justified.Disconcertingly I found a one star negative review after Deciding to employ Ian K Cutts associates. I wondered at the time how could this be the same man that I had been speaking to ? …it seemed so unlikely. My husband reassured me that you cannot always trust reviews.Luckily we didn’t believe the bad review! We have been totally happy and impressed with all the help and valuable guidance we have received.I ventured to share with Ian the surveyor how we were surprised by the bad review on Google trust pilot. Ian explained that this involved mistaken identity…an unfortunate result of a mixup with another surveyor who uncannily shares exactly the same first and last name.So finally I would like to recommend that if this remains on the site simply to ignore it and feel reassured that you are choosing somebody who is trustworthy and worth every penny. Ian did say most of his custom comes from recommendation and old clients returning and most certainly we would would definitely approach him in the future.

Did a good Homebuyer's survey at fairly short notice which identified a few things we weren't aware of.
