The Galley of Lorne Inn
Popped in here for a quick drink, stayed for the excellent service, atmosphere and food.During our last night staying in Ardfern we popped in for a drink.Immediately we were greeted by a lovely host who went on to make sure our time there was as pleasant as possible. The service was fantastic and the food was top notch too - try the Cullen Skink.Nothing was too much trouble for the bar staff who kept making sure that we enjoyed our food and that the fire was topped up with wood to make sure we stayed warm. This is a lovely, wee cozy pub with a pleasant atmosphere. We don't have a dog but I love how it was dog friendly and the staff made sure the pooches were well looked after by providing treats and water. This was a perfect example of Scottish hospitality and I'd highly recommend it if you fancy a quick pint or a bite to eat.The service was so good a friendly little spaniel that the whole bar loved decided to pop up to the bar to patiently wait for a wee dog biscuit and the staff happily obliged. When we joked about whether humans get treats too, one of the bar staff who looked after us for the whole night let us taste her homemade chocolate brownie which was out of this world.I'd suggest that gets put on the menu because it would go down beautifully with a nice glass of milk or some ice cream. When we come to the area again, it will be the first place we visit.

Diabolical meal. So called ragout was part cooked mushroom with a luke warm tin of tomatoes poured over them. No attempt made to recompense in any way. Felt sorry for unsupported staff. Very sad experience given the potential of the location.

Not stayed here but a lovely pub with Loch Fyne cask ale. The standard menu is good but doesn't change so a few more specials would be nice for a variety as we like to visit regularly.

The food was beautiful, reasonably priced and the atmosphere was very welcoming. Very doggy friendly. We found this place by accident whilst passing though. Will definitely return again.

Lovely location and a lovely stay. Rooms are very well laid out. Meals (evening and breakfast) were both very good. A lovely evening in the bar. Great atmosphere. And great views from out of my room window. If you’re here it’s well worth a trip down the road to Craignish Point. Beautiful views out towards Jura.

Stayed in the Galley Of Lorne Inn. The room looked wonderful. Unfortunately, it will not win the clean award. It was dusty had paper on the bathroom floor and the shower was leeky. After the shower flood the bathroom was cleaner than before. The chef in the Kitchen does a great job. Unfortunately Service personnel seems allergic to work. The barmaid was unmotivated and helpless. And the breakfast waiter was unable to organise and maintain 4 Tables at once ordering at different times. The galley has a lot of potential and a marvellous location. Once staff recognise that and put in the effort they will shin

Excellent food, however since we had our dog we ate in the bar which was very cold with doors + windows opened + service was ok. Restaurant was very warm + comfy. Please put heating on when it is 10c outside. Real ale was a bonus.

Room was quite small. Partner in wheelchair just able to manoeuvre. No access for partner to wardrobes as bed too close. Bed uncomfortable. Ensuite plenty of room and very pretty. Staff friendly and helpful. Quite remote. Not ideal for wheelchair users.
