Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa, Edinburgh

Honestly for what it is it's over priced to the roof. Entering the room for a three nights stay. Finding a leafe on the floor which stayed till we departed. The bed sheets had stains and black hair in it. Toilet light was broken and flashing the hole time. And if you try to ask the cleaning personal for something they didn't understood a word English well at least two of them. The room service was great though. We had cheese platter and some other stuff best sortiment of cheese I had in a while. But unfortunately won't be returning. Just wasn't right.

Stayed for 2 nights and had an amazing experience. Staff were friendly and helpful when needed. We booked a castle view room (which has a view of the rear of the castle) and it was so spacious and had all the amenities needed. The only con is the cleanliness of the room - there was mold in the walk-in shower and dust on the hardwood flooring. Location is a short walk onto Princes Street. Would definitely recommend!

Mum and I love coming here. We have stayed once, but use the spa when we are in Edinburgh. The treatments are unbelievable and I always leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. It's pricey, but you get what you pay for in this case.Thank you, guys ☺️

Lovely hotel. Room was a little dated, but the drawer with the various glasses in, including bottle open was a nice touch. Exceptional customer service from reception, concierge and restaurant staff. Great location for exploring Edinburgh and super views of the castle from the restaurant. Enjoyed the pool at the One Spa.

Absolutely superb hotel. Probably one of the best Marriott’s I’ve ever stayed in. The service was some of the best I’ve ever experienced in the UK. The spa was lovely. Fantastic location, food, spa, views. So impressed. Will be back soon.

Stayed here as part of a corporate trip. The location is great. Everything is clean and new.Knocked down a star on rooms because the bathrooms are a terrible design. Glass doors, no privacy, no sound blockage, and the sinks leak. If you turn on the bathroom light in the middle of the night, the whole room lights up!The sink leak is not from the plumbing, it’s from around the bowl. Maintenance came to look and commented on the design flaw for the whole hotel.The lighting switches in the room are a convoluted mess.It’s like the person that approved the design, never spent a night in the hotel.Staff was friendly and helped out with any and all requests.

Amazing hotel, a highlight of our recent trip!Pros: lovely rooms with great lighting, ultra-comfy bed and bedding, nice desk for working, spa-like bathtub, wonderful lounge with daily drinks and appetizers, service from staff is 10/10, location is quiet (good for sleeping), AC kept the room ice cold which I loved, amazing spa, amazing restaurants within walking distance, only 2 min walk from the airport tram if you are arriving this way, only a 5 minute bus ride from Waverly.Cons: not a con for us, but it's a 12 minute walk up to the royal mile. We enjoyed the walk and if it was raining, we would have the front desk order a taxi (only 7 pounds fare) easy-peasy.Would 100% stay again.

We stayed for a couple night. While the hotel it self was fancy the rooms not so much. Dirty bed sheets really weird dark hair and brown stains. We ended up taking it off the first night. The bathroom lights were proper demonic. Flashing in weird pattern. Can't recommend way too expensive.

Very friendly staff, from meeting us at the door, reception, spa staff, bar staff, cleaning staff - so friendly and welcoming all round.Rooms are lovely, clean and spacious.Definitely try the swimming pool and worth the extra £35 to do the thermal pool experience, steam and sauna rooms.
