Scenic viewpoint over Lough Erne. Quite a drive but definitely worth visiting!

Wow! A long and narrow road leads to this viewpoint as well as a path climbing up the hill. I took the road option as I didn't have time for the walk. A few cyclists and pedestrians as well as many in cars also. Worth the narrow drive to see the view. On a clear day it is stunning. Beautiful. Lots of room to park your car and have a walk around. Highly recommended!

You get access to the viewpoint through Lough Navar forest. It was a bit misty/cloudy when we were there in May, but still amazing views. Plenty of car parking. There is also a memorial to some airmen who crashed nearby during WW2.

Make sure you have petrol in your car, it's fairly remote.

I have driven past these cliffs many times and yesterday we decide to follow the Forest Drive route to the viewpoint.Once you’re off the main road the roads are a bit narrow and some are one way only. There are a few ramps in the road so sensible driving is a must but if you look around at the scenery you won’t want to rush.Stunning! Well worth a visit.

One of Fermanagh's best views. Best to earn it by climbing the steps from the parking below on the Shore Road!

I recently visited the Cliffs of Magho Viewpoint, and I must say, it was an experience like no other. The panoramic views of the surrounding landscape were absolutely breathtaking, with the majestic cliffs standing tall, embracing the serene waters below. The journey to the viewpoint itself was a treat, as the winding roads were lined with lush greenery, setting the perfect tone for what was to come. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the fresh, crisp air and the gentle sound of waves crashing against the cliffs. What I loved most about this place was its untouched beauty and the sense of tranquility it offered. It was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life, providing a moment to reflect and appreciate the wonders of nature. The Cliffs of Magho Viewpoint is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise it can get. Whether you’re a nature lover, a photographer, or just someone in need of a peaceful retreat, this place is definitely worth a visit.Highly recommended!

Just follow the well defined path to the top and enjoy the spectacular views. The path is steep so be prepared to huff and puff. There are benches along the path to stop and rest and toilets in the car park to freshen up. Overall I would definitely recommend.

I've been here many times in different seasons like summer, autumn, and spring. But this last visit Aug 23, 2021, I've been surprised that there's no single tree left at the carpark. It was very bald at the moment. But apart from that, the picnic table and bench are still there and I was happy to see the panoramic view of the lake and have a walk all the footpath including downhill to the staircase going down to the other carpark below the Magho Cliffs.
