I had a great time at Cirencester College. My tutor was supportive and I had lots of support for my medical school application. The facilities are good. I really enjoyed my time here. There were great wellbeing resources as well.

Taking a BTEC at Cirencester College was one of the worst decisions in my life! I have wasted 3 years here and felt that the teachers were low level in teaching quality. Moreover I feel that there needs more social areas and computer rooms. Additionally I feel that £200 course fees could have gone to better use than a walk around the Yorkshire three peak challenge. overall a nice college :)

This college is fantastic and is the only education establishment i have ever enjoyed my time at, i was previously at Swindon College as i did not have the grades necessary to join this college, to put it extremely vaguely i did not enjoy my time at Swindon in the slightest and i finally got to get into Cirencester College the next year joining the level 2 IT course where the work is clearly explained to you by great professional teachers who are all genuinely good people who want you to do well. The only problem i ever encountered is the fact that the college forces you to do clubs, quizies, supervised study and a lot of things they consider mandatory" which i just didn't bother doing. But great college I would always recommend as there a college that knows how to do things properly."

To go to parents evening and find that there has been a complete mess up and the extended course we thought our daughter was on in fact she isn’t even though she has the correct grades. To say I’m angry is an understatement. She has missed out on 3 months of work and she finds it hard to make friends as it is and now has to go into new course where friendships have been made. Thank god we found out and questioned it otherwise she wouldn’t get grades to go to uni and would have to stay an extra 2 years to get them. Though not sure she will get grades when she is now so behind. College has let my daughter down massively and she is at a massive disadvantage to all the students on the course. Am so angry and disgusted. I would give the college 0 points if I could. In reply to your response she was looking at doing a biology A level because she wasn’t sure if this was needed for the university course she wanted to do but was told by Ann she didn’t need to do this because she was on the extended Animal management, this is what we thought she was on but she wasn’t like I said the college messed up. It needs investigating and I want an answer why she wasn’t on the extended course!!!!! Get your facts right before you respond!!!!

If your young person has a disability I would most definitely never send them to this college. Before lockdown, in year 1, my relative was predicted quite high grades. During lockdown they struggled immensely due to their disabilities. Due to the complete lack of support, their mental health deteriorated and they tried to commit suicide twice and was in hospital. Instead of offering support, the college sent him warnings that they will get kicked of his course as they weren't making enough effort. Multiple times family members approached different departments of the college to try to access support and were ignored. The tutors didn't care. They finished with grades 3 below what they were predicted in the first year. To me this says a LOT more about the teaching than it does about my relative. This will literally effect them for the rest of their lives and the college did not care. All the college seem to care about are their figures.

-This college has a simple rule, and this is why it is great.I came to Cirencester only for a year and wanted to study languages: the admissions staff came up with the brilliant idea of enabling me to take two years of A levels in one (i.e. by taking both AS and A2 lessons, and sitting both AS and A2 exams in June, which I had no idea was possible!)This was a brilliant solution that enabled me to go and study Law with German Law at UCL; I found incredibly supportive and encouraging staff (both in admissions and teachers) that never fail to point out your strengths and help you work on your weaknesses. It's a very simple rule there: expect to be rewarded for your hard work, and where you don't get results, expect help in achieving your goals. There is also plenty of space for support (personal tutor, tutor meetings, avaialble teachers) to discuss non-academic-related issues, and this was fundamental for me as I was in Cirencester only for a year and needed a lot of help and support in both personal and bureaucratic things.A special thanks to the admissions centre and to all the language teachers.

I spent 3 years at this college, and it was the first time where I actually enjoyed being in an education setting. All of the staff were highly supportive and helpful. The quality of teaching was overall outstanding, obviously there are some issues within the college, but they are not significant issues and can be found in almost every college and school across the country. The skills I learnt from this college have helped me progress onto university and given me a good start on my degree.

For anyone looking to study Medicine, Veterinary or Dentistry, Cirencester College is going to be your best chance. They have a dedicated and experienced team specifically aimed at aiding students in navigating the application minefield and ensuring they are best prepared to attain a place on these competitive programmes. For medicine, the selection process often comes down to splitting hairs between students and I am confident that the tailored learning and direction provided by the College is what made the difference for me.Additionally, a member of staff picked up on my dyslexia immediately, which was completely missed in school, allowing me to implement new strategies and receive adequate time in exams.Lecturers genuinely care about students and frequently go above and beyond. A simple example is that in Chemistry the lecturer researched the best colours and text for dyslexic students and altered all of her PowerPoints for the class to reflect this. This subtle fine tuning of students learning experiences, is what sets Cirencester apart, there are numerous examples but to me this all affirms that staff genuinely care about the development of each student, a factor of paramount importance.I can honestly say that I would not be in the position I currently am if it wasn’t for the brilliant support staff, lecturers and extracurricular opportunities offered at Cirencester. I am forever grateful, if I could put 10 stars I would.

I can't rate this college highly enough. During my time here multiple staff members across several departments went above and beyond to support my education. Their enthusiasm and passion is second to none.I really appreciated the college's focus on my future aspirations; my tutor and the tutoring programme were significant contributors towards me securing my place at vet school. Now as an undergraduate student, I can definitely say my time at Cirencester prepared me well for higher education.Enrolling here is a no-brainer as far as I'm concerned.

I had a great experience here at ciren: my A levels weren't only well taught but we were taught to study more independently which has served me fantastically throughout my undergrad. My application to medical school was well supported with practice interviews, UKCAT help and the wellbeing support- especially that from my tutor- was phenomenal in overcoming a lot of the difficulties I experienced. Fantastic College.
