Conkers Camping and Caravanning Club Site
Good campsite. Needs a second toilet and shower block for use when the site is full. Out of school holidays and off peak I don't expect this to be an issue, but was disappointed by the queues. The wardens keep the site in excellent condition, the facilities were cleaned to an exceptional standard and they were very friendly and helpful.

A very well kept but rather bland site, that somehow didn’t have quite the right feel for a relaxing break. Not many facilities for the number of pitches, and although there are many walks directly from the site, they are all over disused quarry / mining land that the trees haven’t quite taken charge of yet. I’m sure this site is right for some people, but just didn’t hit the right spot for me!

First experience of a club site. Fairly small but clean and well maintained. Good facilities with a main heated building with toilets, showers, dishwashing room and laundry room.We had our 4m canvas bell tent and fortunately they allow wood stoves (as well as gas and charcoal BBQs). Absolute bargain at £10 for club membersFree onsite WiFi as well which was a life saver

Absolutely a fantastic Camping and Caravan park. Facilities on site faultless and staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Will definitely be going back soon with our bikes next time. Great for walking and cycling direct from campsite. Great for couples and families.

Great campsite with plenty of lovely walks direct from the site entrance. I would also recommend a visit to the Remembrance Arboretum which is only a few miles away . As always the staff are friendly and helpful and the facilities are spot on. Highly recommended

Lovely site but spoilt by the loud music from neighbouring youth hostel every night sometimes till gone midnight. Also water in showers too hot. Can't understand why these sites can't have temperature controls

We stayed at the YHA as a group (50 plus) and it was great, and are looking into membership.Plenty around to do, day trips, walks, zoos, local history , forestry venues , absolute great location.

A lovely and quiet site. Great for walkers with or without a dog. Close to pubs, Chippy, and Chinese takeaways. Site staff were very friendly and welcoming and personally showed us to our pitch. Showers and toilets were nice and clean though the shower timer could be a little bit more than 30 seconds at a time. Well worth a visit.
