I just love this place. The food is amazing. When my Friends and Family visit they always want a meal from Berties. The staff are friendly, polite and my daughter says they are all just very nice people and I love the fish tank"Pat and family Hordle"

I have eaten here serval time and I find the fish and chip excellent. I also tried to deep, fry mushrooms, which was very good.

Gluten Free option on Wednesdays, very nice fish & chips. Ordered here drove to Barton on Sea & ate while the Sun was going down. Good size portions

Lovely fish and chips but were quite expensive, although the portions were very generous. The wife said it was the cleanest chip shop she had ever been in.

We visit New Milton a couple of times a year and always visit Bertie’s at least once when we’re down, the fish and chips are delicious, the best we’ve ever had! Everything is cooked fresh to order so phone and order ahead if you’re in a rush, but worth the wait if you walk in.On our recent visit we also tried the battered mushrooms with garlic dip which were also a big hit with all the family and we’re already talking about ordering more of the mushrooms when we return ☺️

Tried here for first time, very nice cod and lovely batter, large cod was huge, they had trouble wrapping it, went for big portion chips , just enough for two people, also tried saveloy sausage, that was good too. Place was very busy, (always a good sign ) will ring through next time save the wait.
