Tesco Express

It's alright for everyday essentials and a bite to eat on the go, but really nothing special. Can get crowded at times: It is OK.

I normally really like this tesco due to it being close to the train station, however when I visited today I've decided I'm never going back. it is 40° weather outside and I wanted a cold drink, as you do, when I went to the counter with a monster the lady who worked at the checkout was rude, and refused to see my form of ID. she insisted on seeing my friends' ID who was with me, she is older than me but doesn't have one however she was literally holding a frube pack for me. the lady was aggressive saying I can argue all day" even though I just wanted to know why she needed to see an ID of someone who has nothing to do with the purchase and is literally just holding something for me. I'm not coming back and I hope she looses her job. she isn't good at customer service which tesco are apparently good at; if she had explained why she needed my friends i would understand

Store is ignoring basic safety issues and routinely locks the wheels on its food cages where they are left across the designated fire exit. Staff have been told before but obviously not really concerned. Disgraceful.

Went in there on a photography trip and got yelled at by a member of staff for taking a singular picture in the mirror. Very good customer service, especially with two school children.May I add, we tried to apologise and we got yelled at further.

The prices at this Tesco Express were reasonable for a convenience store next to the train station, but the prepared foods for takeaway (sandwiches, salads, etc) were either well picked over or barely stocked. The last at the tool was nice though, so that's good!Recommended if you need some quick food or supplies before the train comes.

Small Tesco Express shop, located on Station street - opposite the train station. Expectedly, it can get busy at times, due to the location. Convenient to grab any essentials (there is a reasonable selection) if accessing the train station. Open till late everyday.

Why why why do Tesco have two prices for nearly everything? Not all of us want to carry about all different cards for different schemes in shops. Even the tesco club card prices are still more than other shops, talk about a gimmick and mind control.I very rarely use Tesco for this very reason, same as other people I talk too who also say the same.Just be fair to ALL customers ot just the ones signed up to your silly scheme.

I did a spot of late night shopping and it was packed with people doing the same. Security was on the door keeping non-shoppers out, making it feel a bit hairy at the entrance. Staff were stacking shelves, so there was a queue at the tills, though the person serving me was kind and personable. Overall, not a bad experience.

Convenient location when travelling (especially via train or coach). Can get busy at times but there are 2 toll stations and 5+ self services so can get through fast. A wide range of grab n go snacks and a good range of sandwiches. Security there is very kind.

Very dirty and messy.Rubbish everywhere flying around inside and outside the entrance.Not enough bins on the street and everything is mostly covered in Tesco branded litter.2 stars only for being a convenient place and localisation. But it’s overcrowded and very messy.
