Halfords Autocentre Cannock

Booked my car in for replacement brake pads & fluid. Very professional service & as per Steve, the manager, I qualify for 'free brakes for life' now!

We visited regarding the malfunction of the water pump to the windscreen wipers. First of all the man tried to sell us a diagnostic test @ £50 approx. Then said we would need a Ford replacement part and he would phone us with a price in half an hour. He took my phone number and email address. Still waiting 3 weeks later. Took the car to a more reliable garage.

Not sure what they did in my sercice. Asked to check the spare wheel but still puncured!! Not even moved. Brakes noises still the exact same!!I wouldnt go back here. This is the definition of rip-off or just pure laziness!!!

Had an MOT booked for late in the day, they were too busy and didn't have staff on site to be able to complete it. They rebooked me and sorted it two days later. I would return here in the future.

The manager, Steve, is great. He goes the extra miles, care about his customers and provided excellent service with a positive and friendly attitude.

So helpful and kind!My car needed fixing ASAP due to the battery dying and all of the staff were not only accommodating but so helpful. They took time out of their busy schedule to help me and returned my car, fixed, within the same day. Cannot thank them enough they have been amazing. Would 10000% recommend and I will be back if anything else needs sorting. Took a huge stress off of my shoulders considering I was on my own and again I can’t thank them enough!!!!

Edit: Was rectified around a week after by Halfords, mechanic there was more than apologetic and was annoyed at members of his team who had put locking nuts on with a torque wrench. It's sorted but my trust in Halfords means I'll probably go with Costco like I have in the past.Went for a tyre change a few weeks ago, the locking nuts are on so tight they can't be removed by a breaker bar and a balancing weight got loose and broke my brake dust cover clean off.Absolutely disgusting after I dropped my car off at 10 and didn't get it back till 4.... For 2 tyres being changed.

Steve, the manager, was very helpful in getting a replacement battery ordered and fitted as quickly as possible having arrived that morning to find that one of his staff had failed to order one in following our previous visit. Whilst we were waiting he had to contend with at least two other unhappy customers who had been promised parts and services for that morning by the same individual only to find that he had not done what he was supposed to do.

The wrong parts were sent. So had to wait for correct parts.. That was down to europarts.The mechanics and staff were miserable. Most are leaving. The whole 45 mins i was waiting to get windscreen wipers changed. The guy answering the phone constantly was dealing with complaints. Avoid like the plague!

My daughter booked her car in for a service to be informed by technician Adam she would need two fuel injectors replaced at a cost of £2437.49. I advised her not to have this this done as this was a ridiculous quote. Understandably she was very upset at the prospect of finding the money to cover this. The car was taken to two other vehicle technicians who both said the injectors were fine and it was a simple job of replacing the tubes at a cost of £150. I have contacted halfords twice on this matter who said someone would be contacting my daughter on the issue, they have not. I will never use halfords again for anything. This is disgusting treatment of of a young female they should be ashamed
