Stop at Sedgefield Travelodge Friday night. it was a nice one clean and tidy. staff were very helpful and friendly. Sharon on reception was very welcoming when we checked in, and thank you to Anthony for getting us a iron and ironing board. nothing was too much trouble.

Decent Travelodge, good price, clean rooms, and really helpful FOH staff. Area seemed ok although didn’t explore but did hear negative feedback regarding food quality in curry restaurant. Stayed for 1 night following wedding at Hardwick Hall hotel, as very close to venue.

Best travelodge in country. Staff grest . Clean and quiet. Only problem is workers vans using disabled parking slots. As disabled we had to struggle getting parked in resonable place. Should be policed more

Spotless room and bathroom. The town of Sedgefield is walkable, (0.6 miles to several pubs and takeaways) but you need to cross a busy road. However, there's an up-market Indian restaurant across the car park (Le Raaj). Haven't had a chance to try it yet, (it smells wonderful!). They give 20% discount on takeaways. The motel has the usual vending machine for crisps, chocolate and soft drinks, which you can pay for by credit card. In the car park, we noticed a number of street lights weren't working, which is worrying at night, when we need to walk our dog.

Car park is a bit small and hard to maneuver in, but I have always had a space to park in it. Room is clean and spacious and my ground floor window looks out on to a large hedge which is nice so I can open the curtains during the day and dont have to stare at a carpark or worry about being over-looked.It says free WiFi on Google but that's basically a lie, it has 30 mins free WiFi and then you have to pay.Good location, nice and quiet. The shower is warm and strong and good. The drinking tap water isn't always cold enough, even if you run it for ages. Not super their fault, there was a dead daddy long legs on the desk when I first came in.Vastly overpriced, but definitely my fault on that part for booking such short notice. There's only 3 plug sockets in the room, so between the TV, the kettle and my laptop, I had to swap out charging my phone or using the USB port on my laptop for a mouse.I had a do not disturb sign on my door as I'm currently working nights, the cleaners were apparently so noisy that the maintenance guy didn't hear me telling him not to come in when he knocked (despite the sign) that he decided to start unlocking my door and trying to come in to descale the shower head, it only took a minute, but I had to get up and get dressed when I need to be resting, why can't he do this to empty rooms or after check outs? Also the room doesn't double lock from inside so it doesn't feel very secure.
