Roundhouse Hotel Bournemouth
The hotel is in need of maintenance. We had unpacked in our room only to find that the heater, toilet and telephone were not working. We changed rooms to a room where the shower was broken. Two repairs later, we had a decent working shower. The hotel staff are courteous and helpful. The buffet runs a bit skimpy at times but the food is pretty good. Overall I would give between 3 and 4 stars rather than a solid 4. We had a nice stay over the Christmas holiday, but will not be returning to stay at this hotel again.

Went last week on coach tour with great trepidation following recent reviews. So pleasantly surprised. Hotel is in middle of refurbishment. Reception, lounge and dining room all newly carpeted and painted. Both our rooms were recently refurbished but bathroom was dated. Staff all young and new but couldn't have been more helpful. Food was absolutely fine, plenty of choice. Clean towels, loo rolls etc all available at reception on request. More than happy to return.

Okay.... as priced... you get what you pay for! Old vintage style rooms more like a flat than a hotel. Walls are plasterboard so you can hear next door people... sleeping is difficult as voices can be hear from the other rooms really thin walls. Looks like there is a non smoking policy but someone smoked and burned the window plastic cover.... basic typical room. Bed is old style weak makes so much noise... old tv, old basic furniture your just coming here to live in the olden times I guess. No ac or fan you will be suffering with humidity... instead you get central heating which comes on during the night... food is basic... The car park is a joke it’s a circle so getting a car into a bay is difficult... £10 for 10 hours... definitely the hotel and car park needs work done ASAP.

Room OK apart from lack of toiletries, staff OK, but breakfast wasn't good at all. Nothing totally awful, but nothing great either. Serious money should be spent on updating this hotel as it could be really nice. Very close to the beach but a very long, steep path to get back up, so not an ideal hotel if walking uphill is an issue. I was surprised to find that this is part of a chain of hotels.

Never stayed in a hotel so dirty. Mould on ceiling, stains in corridors and on lift doors then final straw was blood and wee stains on both mattresses. Spoke to front desk who told us they would sort a 50% refund in the morning. When went next morning was told we had stayed so pretty much tough and no refund. Avoid this place, worst one ever stayed in.

Hotel staff really nice and helpful especially reception. Unfortunately this hotel really needs updating and also a better level of cleanliness. The kettle was dirty so I didn't feel comfortable making tea,there were lots of frayed carpet and marks on the wall. The bed was substandard as you could feel every spring. The sink in the bathroom was loose which was a shame as otherwise the bathroom was the best bit. Carpets really need replacing as rough and look very old. It was ok for one night but I wouldn't stay again unless some changes are made.

The hotel is showing it's age, that said all rooms and public areas were clean and pleasant. I stayed on half board and found the food basic but well cooked with a selection for everyone. The staff were the best thing about this hotel. The staff in the restaurant never stopped but were attentive and customer focused. 3 stars mainly due to the dated feel, but will definitely use again.

Reception staff are pleasant, bar staff less so. The first time in my life a hotel has refused me as a resident a drink at 11.30pm due to 'licensing laws'. I stayed as part of a group of 15, most of the rooms were ridiculously warm. The rooms are very dated, and the bathrooms poor. I'm sure there are better offerings locally.
