Budget Car Hire - Manchester Airport

Positive Review. Outstanding customer service.Family (7 of us) had rental cancelled on arrival with another company.Had to rent an automatic, 7 seater car in the moment from another company. Panic begins..Dom was nothing but accommodating and helpful, but could not find something our family had to spend. Prices for a car on the same day that had to accommodate our basic needs were about 4 times what we had already lost with the previous company and we simply did not have the means. Marco overheard and immediately expressed empathy as well.They did everything they could to get our family in a car and lower the cost as much as the could. It was NOT cheap, but it was still amazing what both employees did for us. Yes, it was double the price, but that’s not on them.I cannot speak for prices on a normal basis or the normal booking process , but in a situation that was out of control, they really don’t know how much I am grateful for everything they did to help. Misfortune happens and the effort from these two Avis/Budget employees alone says that they, at the very least, hired amazing people at Manchester Airport.Disclaimer: I am posting the same review for both Avis/Budget since the desk is for both. Google separates them and I am not sure if they are technically separate but I want the employees who helped me to have recognition and they worked for both companies. I wanted to write much more in detail but this horrible long day, I am exhausted, but I did not want time to pass and forget to thank and praise these two people for what they did for us. Your kindness had made such an impact on our trip.

Fantastic experience at this Budget location. We were having issues with our credit cards and being from out of the country, we had had to work to get the issue resolved. The gentleman (I believe his name was Marco) was extremely patient and non-judgmental of our situation. He worked with us and even helped us to convert the amount owed to USD. Eventually, we used our debit card to speed up the process but the service we received was fantastic. I really appreciate the effort that was put forth.

If you rent a car here with a second company, they give you a discriminatory treatment. They will keep you waiting and will not advance any paperwork until the actual rental time arrives. Then, they will try to sell to you all the upgrades and things possible, so you will lose your time.When you finally get the car, there will not be any floor mats, and the car won't be completely clean, however, we were so impatient, that we did not complain.Then, after 21 days with the car, and no floor mats, they complain that it needs special cleaning services (since when a vacuum is a special cleaning service?), that they were unable to specifically describe. Then we decided to take out with our hands (they could not lend us anything to clean it, even thought we asked for it) the debris on the floor (remember, no floor mats so they can do this trick) and after taking a lot of pictures of the car, that was actually very clean, they said that ok, they will not charge £40, just £25! Most disappointed! I felt it was a clear scam!If I can, I will avoid them in the future.

I booked and paid for a VW Passat for 2 weeks in May. When I arrive at the front desk, I was inform the the VW wasn't available. Due to this Budget offered me an upgraded car for an extra 20 GBP per day which I agreed on.When they deducted the amount at the end of the rental, they charged my credit card 937GBP.After a phone call with Veronica at Budget, the funds are being returned.Thanks Veronica

Easy access through with a shuttle bus from airport terminal. Fast processing by friendly staff. Car was great

i booked for the wrong date, travelling from NZ, proper rookie mistake from my behalf. luckily both ANA and DNUR at the Manchester Car Village branch were able to assist me greatly, without affecting the initial prepaid costs. it was unfortunate my initial vehicle was still not available which was slightly confusing considering i was a day late, but great i was able to leave with a vehicle overall. again, cant thank both ANA and DNUR enough, great customer service

Brilliant service each time I've been. People on the desk were friendly and helpful. Car has been good quality, clean and well presented. Only issue is the refunding of the deposit seems to take a lot longer than expected.

Was very impressed with the service here by the lovely lady on the front desk. Very informative and friendly.We even got a free upgrade to a SUV after booking a smaller hatchback, made travelling so much easier.Check-in was also very easy, there was a guy waiting at the drop-off area and confirmed no damage to the car and that it had a full tank straight away.Overall very impressive service and i'll be sure to prioritize Budget on my next trip

I have used Budget at Manchester Airport pretty much annually for the past 18 years and have never been disappointed. Excellent value for money, although you need to be aware of their GBP1,500 excess (check to see if your travel insurance/credit card covers this or consider the limited excess options, still very reasonable). Pick up and drop off have always been super quick and never had a problem with the cars. Latest car, did have quite a bit of external damage, but this was not an issue and this was made clear at the outset.

Really friendly staff. Bit of a pain that the car rental village is a short 5 mins drive from the airport, but that’s not their fault.Beware Some fraudsters like Drivalia are 20 minutes away in an isolated location and don’t let you leave unless you pay them more money
