Green Motion Glasgow Airport

My brother and I rented a car from Green Motion last week and had a great experience.As with all my previous car rental experiences, there is a lot of anxiety to ensure you have the appropriate insurance or if you need more, but getting checked in we were clearly explained what our insurance covered and what it didn't, what our options were for additional, and what we were liable for if we didn't take it. It was greatly appreciated and *very* clearly explained, making our trip more relaxed. The automatic car itself drove great and had no issues, and we were even lucky enough to get one with GPS that showed the speed limits (a relief with the national speed limits on in the countryside!).Returning the car was a breeze even though we returned them at peak time and they were swamped. We had other transportation to and from the rental place, so we didn't use the airport transfer so this is the only thing I can't comment on.All in all, we had a great experience and would use Green Motion again. Thanks for everything and making our roadtrip super easy!

Nice staff, good car & decent price. They provide an airport shuttle to the pickup and drop of point (5-min drive if even). Just make sure you understand upfront where you need to be to be picked up!

We arrived at the Glasgow airport and walked to the Green Motion depot (about 10 minutes). They also have a shuttle. The car was ready to go. The sign out process was quick and efficient. (about 10 minutes). Off we went. The return process was also efficient and professional (about 10 minutes). They drove us to the airport with our gear. I would recommend them for their excellent service, new vehicle fleet and proximity to the airport.

When it comes to car hire, stick to the big brands, Green Motion are located far away from the airport away from all other rental companies. When I arrived (after a delayed shuttle) I was told that my initial price of £140 would increase by a further £430. They seem to be good value online but are not, with many costs in the t&c’s which are only available on their main website (not shown when booking through easyJet) . By being located far away from the airport, not only does it take time to get there, but also there are no other car rental services near by. Very budget poor company with no care for customer complaints. Will not be using again.

Our experience was excellent, despite some of the reviews online talking of poor experience, turning up with the correct documents - as clearly set out in the booking section - makes it easier.It's not the cheapest excess cover if you add it onto the hire when you're collecting the car, better to take it out during the hire process.Really pleasant team in the Glasgow Airport branch. Lovely to deal with, and very helpful around some car choice options we could make which made our hire vehicle better than we had expected.Thanks again.

Friend booked a car via this company on our recent trip. There were 4 groups in the building at the same time we were, and all 4 had major issues.-Company doesn't appear to have enough employees for what they're trying to do. They couldn't fit all of us in the shuttle at the airport and promptly ignored all the people still left there. They still hadn't been picked up 30+ minutes later. When we called, we had to try 3 times before anyone answered.-Friend booked a car and no insurance. Insurance and deposit were extremely high. Hundreds more. We were told it was because we got a big vehicle. We inquired about canceling our reservation and getting something smaller to see if it would end up costing less. They told us there was absolutely no way they could change the car because friend booked 3rd party.-Then the guy tries to tell us he's going to give us a free upgrade" to a different car. Oh wait

This was genuinely the best hire car experience I’ve ever had. We hired a suv style car for one day. The quick check in process whereby I submitted documents ahead of time meant the entire check up process took less than 5 minutes. The car was clean and in great condition and given availability, we had an option of a free upgrade. The drop off took less time than the collection. Staff were friendly, personable and professional. Very impressed and will actively seek to use again if I need a car in the area.

cheap deal but BE AWARE I received the car condition report and was asked to sign it before I inspected the vehicle, after being made to feel that I had to sign then I went to check the vehicle and noticed plenty of defects that werent noted so I went back into the office where the manager advised that its fine they werent chargeable scratches so didnt need to be noted, after a few minutes of discussion I decided to accept this but ensure I took photos of every panel, tyres and wheels.As I suspected when we handed the car back they tried to pin the scratches onto us, even betting £50 that the scratch wasnt there before so when I produced the photo at the time of initial hire then he went back with his tail between his legs.So good car, good location but be one step ahead of them!!

After waiting 20 minutes we finally got the shuttle bus which takes you away from the airport. When we got to the car rental, we required to pay a £1200 deposit on credit card only.Because we couldn't do this at the time we had to pay an additional £26 a day to reduce the deposit by £800.We were capped at 100 miles a day which felt limiting given we were going on holiday to the Highlands.In the future, I am sticking with more reliable car rental brands that can be found at the airport and don't have a host of hidden charges.

Snakes! DO NOT rent here. Bought the most expensive insurance they offer and was promised by the employee at the rental counter that everything was covered and there was no need to inspect the van we rented. THREE WEEKS after we returned the van they charged my credit card $900 for 'roof damage' and they said in an email that roof damage was not covered. We did not damage the roof. We did not even look at the roof. This 'mini bus' was very tall and you would need a ladder to see the roof. The pictures they sent as proof did not even show damage. FRAUD!!! Horrible people all around. Will be disputing with credit card company.
