So many interesting things to see, one room after another, thoroughly recommend a visit. The grounds are lovely with plenty of seats and its all free including parking!

Amgueddfa Sir Gâr - Carmarthenshire Museum
Lovely sized museum of historic Welsh life situated on the edge of Carmarthen Town. This ex bishops Palace House has regular visiting exhibitions via arrangements with other arts organisations eg Tate Gallery. Informative displays with lots of interesting information. The site also has a nice cafe and great parkland grounds which you can explore on foot. Can easily spend a couple of enjoyable hours here.

I hadn't been here since 1988, so things have changed a bit! Very well set out and a lot more to see. The grounds are impressive and well tended. I do hope people donate generous tips as this place is worth keeping up.

Amgueddfa Sir Gâr - Carmarthenshire Museum
A pleasant, free, museum showing slices of life in Wales, ranging from farming, military history to coal mining. Pleasant cafe, and some lovely grounds in which to wander. Four (not five) stars only because there is very little about the house (except the chapel) which tells of its own considerable history (or that of its inhabitants) as the former palace of the bishops of St David's.

This was an odd little gem of a place, full of interesting exhibits, facts ans things to see that will make you remember and think of times gone bye.There is quite a lot to see covering many aspects of life in Carmarthenshire and Wales in general.The staff are friendly and informative.Toilets are clean fresh and functional.There is plenty of car parking available.There is a busy bustling wee cafe attached with nice friendly staff and a good selection of food, baked good and drinks.This place is well worth a visit
