Lovely atmosphere and very accommodating staff in the restaurant. Food was excellent however the chateaubriand was a bit strange. I think it had been sous vide cooked and it had been in there too long as the meat had lost its texture.It didn't distract from a lovely evening however and we would return.

Great restaurant. Couple wow" dishes that one would hope for from a restaurant at this price point. Only dish that wasn't at least very good was the chicken terrine

Highly recommend! The food and wine were incredible. I had the scallops and sirloin with lobster salad which were delicious. A tiny hiccup with a steak which was overdone and the staff handled it so kindly and professionally that it was no problem at all. The best dining experience we have had in a while. Looking forward to returning.

Excellent stay in a fantastically renovated room under the eves at the top of this historic building. Great welcome, nicely thought out layout and very stylish. Great amenities in the bathroom, and nice powerful shower. The bed could be more comfortable, two twins joined together to form a double which leaves a gap between two mattresses and we were disappointed that when we asked for softer pillows the only solution we were offered to remove the cover on the existing ones - strange since a pillow menu is offered when checking in. This meant our sleep was not as good as it could have been. Both dinner and breakfast were outstanding and definitely recommended.

One of the small cities in Cotswold, but I did love here for the calmness of the town compared to some popular cities, like Bibury. Situated in the middle of the town, I could easily get an access to everywhere.The room was fantastic with kids friendly options everywhere. They provide Nintendo for three bunker beds. For breakfast, kid friendly meal was already set up at the corner of the dining room.I brought a car and could park the car easily past 6 pm when i checked in since they have sign parking available 6 pm to 9 am, and 2hrs 9 am to 6 pm.They have welcome drink which include the local draft beer along with cask ale.

Our stay in early October was perfect in every way. The charming Old Stocks Inn provides a perfect base for exploring the Cotswolds whilst being able to return to beautiful hotel full of character, superb accommodation, fabulous food, and the most wonderful staff. Breakfast is outstanding and a perfect start to the day with Justine and Katie bringing such warm hospitality each morning. Highly recommended this hotel and can’t wait to return.

Great meal and cocktail list. Service was very attentive. The only thing we’d change is for the vegetarian option to have a slightly larger portion since it’s less filling without the protein, yet it’s the same size as the others. The quality and taste of everything is amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance. The outdoor space for an afternoon cocktail was superb.

Came here on vacation and it was the best meal we had in the UK. The staff was so kind to us and our toddler, really made our trip. Definitely give this place a try!

Room 5 is clean, cozy, quaint but a little tight. It is up some steep, narrow stairs. The view is of the square. The restaurant is 5 stars! The included breakfast is a full menu, including cappuccinos and lattes. Everything is fresh from local farms. The egg yolks are orange! So much food I couldn’t finish, and I’m a big eater. Last night’s dinner was also excellent. My wife ate the halibut and I had the ribeye. Locals consider this restaurant the best in the village, and I can see why.

Ate at the restaurant - I didn’t have a booking but got lucky with a table and the staff were so lovely to squeeze me in.Incredibly attentive staff, and the food was divine. I enjoyed mouth watering scallops followed by a luxurious pork . And in such a gorgeous wee town.Would definitely recommend
