The Sibson Inn Hotel , Peterborough

WOW! We booked the Sibson Inn for our wedding on Saturday and my goodness we made the right choice, from start to finish each and every single one of the staff have been incredible. Nothing was too much trouble, they were sooo soo lovely, friendly, warm and welcoming. And wow they run a tight ship. Every aspect of our day was smooth, the attention to detail, timing and service was the best of the best! We had both our ceremony and reception here, and I don't think I could have done it without all the amazing staff making sure I was ready. Looking after our guests, running around behind the scenes to make sure our day was as perfect as possible. They absolutely smashed it! We had canapes, drinks, 3 course meal and late evening food, the drinks flowed, and I can honestly say the food was amazing!I could not recommend them enough for anyone wanting a wedding venue! They really know how to make your day stress free and beautiful. We can't wait to come back and see you all again soon. Thank you sooo soo much for being so incredibly amazing!!!!!!

So we booked the sibson inn for our wedding, what can we say except a massive thank you. They made the day amazing. From booking Diane and her team were amazing, no detail too small to help. We loved the laid back, open approach through this we had the wedding we wanted rather than a forced cookie cutter approach. Costs are very reasonable and you get a lot of wedding for your money. Staff are all amazing, friendly and approachable nothing was too much trouble and they helped us both so much. Our guests all commented on how amazing the staff and venue was. Thank you for helping us have the wedding of our dreams .

Really lovely stay here, the staff are wonderful and the food is delicious. The room was beautiful but could do with a new carpet, but aside from that, perfect! We will be back.

Fabulous old coaching inn, ideally located off the A1 northbound just outside Peterborough. Certainly a grand old building with loads of character and old world charm. A small but well selected range of draft beers and good variety of bottles behind the bar and whilst prices are maybe a little steep on the drink side, the quality of draught is exceptional.The food is quite frankly brilliant, again, a small menu but covers most tastes (the steak is amazing but don't ask for medium or well done, the chef sends it perfectly cooked, medium rare and the taste is great). From what I could tell from a full dining room, everybody was happy, prices are reasonable as well and everything is freshly made to order, if you want fast food, a MacDonalds is 3 minutes down the road but won't hit the spot like the food here.Service is extremely friendly but as it is a very small team, can sometimes be a tad slow but they get you sorted as soon as they can and do regular checks to make sure everything is to your liking.The rooms, we stayed in the bridal suite which is enormous and covers pretty much most needs but, despite been clean and tidy, the carpets are showing age and could do with replacing but in the current economic climate it is probably a big financial hit to replace them at the moment but certainly detracts from the quality of the room. The only other thing missing is a small table by the sofa to put drinks etc.Pricing for room and meals is also extremely reasonable and adding both together is a real must.You will really enjoy a stay here, just don't let the odd bits that need updating put you off

We had a great night for a joint party of about 40 people. The staff and facilities are amazing. Special mention to Bret. Loved the room (Bridal sweet). The staff are friendly and always there to help. Food is lovely and the ground and facilities are amazing. Loved this place since we got married here 11 years ago. Great for any special occasion.

We hired The Sibson exclusively to renew our wedding vows. David, Diane, Brett and the team were amazing. From helping with the planning in the lead up to the event, to making sure that everything went smoothly on the day, they were awesome! We had the best day of our lives and are hugely grateful for the fabulous service that we received. Would recommend this venue without any hesitation!

I stopped for a bite to eat whilst driving up the A1. The bar was lovely in a twee English way. The menu was long enough and most people could find some they like. What we had was quite decent. Nothing elaborate, just plain cookery. My vegetables actually tasted of something which is a sign someone was trying in the kitchen!I would happily eat there again.

We attended a joint birthday party which was fantastic.However we booked room 2 only to be told on arrival a member of staff was staying in there instead.We had room 5 to which we was highly disappointed.Shampoo etc was all dirty.Bed had extremely old duvet and pillows. Carpet was dirty flies in room. Also cups and spoons was also dirty..Shame

Extremely helpful and polite staff. My room was ok but needs redecorating and couldn't use the shower as blocked with limescale. Bacon and eggs were cooked fresh for breakfast. The hotel is located on one side of the A1 dual carriageway.

WE stayed for one night in our camper van. WE Had a delicious dinner and breakfast. This ist probably the most beautiful and lovely spot to stay alongside any Highway in the UKDon't forget to give them a call or e-mail upfront.
