One of Barnsley’s greatest and most underrated bars in my opinion. It is located in a unique spot in the town centre which not many people know about.The atmosphere of the bar itself is unbeaten and the staff are knowledgeable and polite which brings a very warm welcome to the surrounding rustic aesthetic that the bar provides.It is a must visit in my opinion.

Just called for a beer this afternoon the first time I've been in since it was the Brown's bar. (Brown's was a zero rating bar a dump).Now a breath of fresh air very clean well set out polite and friendly staff also keeping some of the old features of the pub.Prices are really good. Former Barnsley footballer now runs it give him your support call in for a few drinks and enjoy.

Booked this venue for my 21st, it was a great room, we had 40 guests and they easily fitted in comfotably. All of the staff were really helpful and accommodating, I would highly recommend it

Such lovely place and staff! Had a few cold beers and talked with the owners who made a very good impression of the bar. Everything is tidy compared with other bars from Barnsley. I will visit them again very soon. Thank you for the beautiful experience!!!

Good to see this old pub reopened. It's had many lives as The Temple, Brown's Bar and the Temple of Muses.I preferred it when it was a proper old pub, but Nicky Eaden has turned it into a nice pleasant bar. Two reasonable real ales from Bradfield are on offer and a 10% discount on match days with a season ticket.Quite busy on Saturday before the match. Not really my sort of place, but worth a visit.
