Food was ok. Wasn't really blown away, especially for the price, didn't really feel the quality matched the expense. Service was a bit lacking, but it was very busy to be fair.I will say though, the atmosphere is lovely and the place is beautiful. Will visit again just to make sure they were not having an off day.

Treated ourselves to a Sunday roast. Arrived at 6 pm, and unfortunately, they had sold out of beefNevermind I had the pork and the wife had the vegetarian option. Both were amazing and cooked to perfection. The choice of ales was good and the children loved their fish and chips (very generous sizes for children's menu.)All in all would recommend - best potatoes we've had in Oxfordshire pubs.

A lovely pub in a very" quiet village. There is nothing else to do around here apart from driving to somewhere you've planned to go to. Which is great as there are loads of places in the locality. The pub itself is worth a visit and definitely it's better staying in the rooms as the roads around are "nice old country roads". The restaurant serves good food at reasonable prices

What was once one of the best roasts in the area has slipped to below average. Which is a real shame.Bone dry beef, potatoes poor on last two occasions, carrots & parsnips dried to oblivion sadly :(A real shame as we always brought visitors here, a group of 12 back in May, as the pub itself is beautiful and charming and we always expected a very good meal.Service is always very friendly though. The servers are lovely.Hope it can return to it’s former glory for its Sunday roasts.

Our second visit here. We stayed in the Wychwood room. It's beautiful, spacious and spotless. Plenty toiletries available in bathroom. Be aware, it's up a spiral staircase. We stayed for dinner. Delicious food with good portions.Breakfast is plentiful and tasty.Service is friendly.Parking on site.

Food, in my opinion was average apart from dessert which was very good. My steak was chewy and I left most of it. The waitress was excellent which is the only reason for the tip I left, it wasn't for the food

An amazing weekend away. Brilliant rooms, food, and service in a picturesque village. The only very minor negative was the £16 dog charge at the end of our stay - I’d rather this was included in the upfront cost. Otherwise, it was perfect!

Lovely country pub in a beautiful village. Dog friendly and friendly staff too! Interesting ales and ciders to try.
