I have purchased carpets several times from Pattens and also white goods and beds and have always received the highest level of service, value for money and quality of goods. Unlike other such retailers, I much prefer the relaxed and small family business feel and personal attention minus the hard sell or pushyness you often get elsewhere.Turnaround from purchase to delivery/fitting is very quick and all fitters are always punctual, polite and precise.I have also recommended countless friends, family and work colleagues to go to Pattens and not once has anyone had any different customer experience to myself.

Can’t recommend the shop highly enough. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff are very polite, helpful and know their products. We had laminate flooring in our hall and carpet on the stairs and landing. They did an amazing job and we are so pleased. A*****

We had our living room and dining room carpets replaced last month, we are so pleased with it. They were more than helpful in the shop and really helped us to find what we were looking for. Good quality carpet. We will be back in a couple of weeks for the stairs to be replaced. Thanks guys :)

They did some edging on my carpets which were for 2 flights os stairs with turns , we were originally quoted £1.20 per metre but when my fitterd went to collect it I was charged £150 and when I asked my fitters to ask how many metres were done the man got very aggressive and said he would cut off all the edging by his reckoning my 2 flights of stairs amount to over 100 meters which is a joke . Do not use these people the rip you off, I later asked another company who said the would have charged about £45, which us what I was expecting but I needed my carpet done do had to pay, but would not wish anyone else to get stung by these bandits

Extremely helpful both in store and fitters. Very grateful for your help and patience. Shopped around but found prices were great too. They even edged my off cuts to make mats. Very highly recommended. I won't even bother shopping around again as they even come out with samples and quote on site nothing could be easier many thanks to Paul and his team

We've used Pattens on several occasions now for carpet and vinyl flooring in our house. They are knowledgeable, helpful and give good advice, their prices are very reasonable and carpet installers have always completed job with excellent attention to detail. Have recommended already and will continue to do so.

Excellent service from staff in helping me choose my new bed. They made sure I had all the fabric samples and designs for the choices I had made. Paul even phoned the manufacturer to see if I could have round corners!! Thank you Patterns, my new bed is smashing xx

85 year old mum bought carpet from here. Salesman very helpful. Carpet fitter appalling! Damaged doors and wallpaper, charged £30 to trim doors ( paying not a problem) but left them all rough and damaged. Left all cut offs and also, not a problem but didn’t leave them in one place! Piled up and also under the bed! Called to complain, was told “we are all working in difficult times” and “we don’t employ them!” . Apparently covid stops people from doing their job properly! Terrible customer service and very, very dissapointed as experience started so well yet ended so badly. Offered to come and clean up! Would definitely never recommend!

Fantastic service from Paul and his whole team. I needed to match my hallway flooring to my kitchen, which was done a few years ago so thought it would be very hard to find. After looking around and not being able to find a match at a reasonable cost. Paul took the time and patience to help me find the exact match, great quality and at a very reasonable price. The fitters did an amazing job, made sure I was happy with everything before leaving. Wouldn’t even notice that it was done years apart! Would highly recommend.
